Nouns name people, places, things, and ideas
Common nouns name things in a general way
Examples: boy, book, car
Common nouns are only capitalized if they are
the first word of a sentence.
Proper nouns name things in a specific way
Examples: John, Romeo and Juliet, Porsche
Proper nouns are ALWAYS capitalized
