The Øresunds bridge is a 15.9 kilometer bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden that includes a 4 kilometer underwater rail tunnel, with the motorway above. It opened on June 1st 2000 and averages 91,500 daily crossings by train, bus and ferry and 24,700 daily crossings by car.
