      • Deal with the loss—grieve it, resolve it by honoring the loss, figure out the positive learning from it--and the emotion flows on through you

      • Determine if there is danger and take action to deal with it
    57. Fight or Flight
      • When we feel fear, our bodies are hard-wired to respond with
      • FIGHT
      • or
      • FLIGHT

      • Our body gets us ready to either
      • Stand and fight
      • OR
      • Run away and flee
      • (All animals have this instinct)
    59. When we stockpile Fear, it can create a 3 rd response to Danger: FREEZE
    60. Freezing when there is danger is not a very helpful response!
    61. When you determine if there is danger--and take action— the fear flows through you and disappears.

      • You have violated someone else’s boundaries

      • OR you have violated your own boundaries

      • Stop violating their boundaries and make amends

      • OR if it is your own boundaries you are violating, change your behavior so that it is in tune with your values

      • You are paying attention to something you DON’T want to have happen

      • Change your focus!

      • Stop paying attention to what you DON’T WANT--and start paying attention to what you DO WANT.
    76. How do negative emotions get stockpiled?
      • 1. We experience a negative emotion in response to some experience we have.

      • 2. We think we need to hang onto the negative emotion in order to remember some important lesson.
    78. You don’t need to hang on to the negative emotion!
    79. The learning is completely separate from the emotion.

    85. Then, figure out what you need to do about it…
    86. Take appropriate action…
