28. THDCIL has earmarked 2% of Net Profit before Tax in line with the New DPE Guidelines.

31. The THDC CSR Schemes are implemented through company sponsored NGOs (CONGOs) such as “SEWA-THDC” and THDC Education Management Board (THDC-EMB).

34. Integrated Rural Development in the State of Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh & Delhi on long term basis.

35. Strengthening the capacity of local people in the area of Natural Resource Management and Livelihood Promotion.

36. Promotion of Self Help Groups, from the targeted community, so that they could understand local needs and make their own programmes.

37. The current Income Generation & Sustainable Livelihood Promotion Programmes will benefit around 21500 population of 50 most affected villages in Tehri District.

40. THDC CSR funds are not utilized as philanthropic activities, but provided to the poor people as seed money for enhancement of their lively hood activities and reaches out to the integration of social and business goals.

43. English relay programme has been started with the help of IL&FS Education & Technology Services Ltd., New Delhi. Nearly, 2000 students have been benefitted in Primary Schools run by Government and Private Institutions in Thouldar and Jhaknidhar Blocks of Tehri Garhwal District.

45. 9/23/2011 CSR-CD Scheme adopted by THDC India Ltd. 20 ENVIRONMENT ENHANCMENT Extensive plantation program has been organized through NagerPalika at New Tehri New Tehri, for Environment development in August, 2010. Environment Seminar and Culture activities at TirveniGhat on 12 to 13 Nov. 2010. Total 300 people participated. For the protection of plants from straw animals, 200 Nos. & 50 Nos. Tree Guards were distributed in New Tehri on 12.12.2010 and in VPHEP Project on 20.01.2011.

Modernization of old techniques the ‘VILLAGE PANCHAKKI’ i.e. Gharat are being modernised and to put o use through Village Self Help Group to improve their economy as well as Energy Conservation, Tehri District. Extensive plantations of saplings has been taken up for the Environment Enhancement in Uttar Pradesh & Uttakhand.
