Reviews and spanish courses for japanese students
1. Reviews Spanish course for Japanese students in Spain
Instituto Hemingway appreciate the specific difficulties some Japanese students
encounter when first studying the Spanish language. For this reason, we have adapted
our A1 and A2 beginners courses to facilitate the learning process.
Our classes, specifically designed for Japanese students, combine basic Spanish
grammar with the exploration of Spanish and Latin American culture and customs.
The text, “Español Ya”, published by Edinumen, is an excellent accompaniment to our
classes both in terms of its contents and the activity instructions which are translated
from Japanese to aid student comprehension and autonomy.
Many Japanese students come to Spain, following a desire to pursue an interest in the
Spanish language and culture, encouraged by a growing number of important meetings
both in the world of work and politics, in addition to gastronomic delights.
The main objective of our Spanish course is to teach Japanese students the linguistic
competences and necessary strategies to cope with basic communicative situations. The
chosen activities take into consideration the needs of Japanese students, with a
particular emphasis on contrasting linguistic aspects of the Spanish and Japanese
languages, in addition to cultural difficulties that prevent correct language usage.
Grammar is presented and studied through the exploration of functional situations and
integrated into the practice of the four language learning skills. The contents, in addition
to the activity instructions, are translated into Japanese to help student understanding
whilst providing a real insight into the Spanish culture and its customs. Reviews by
