What does a Chief Blogger do?
Social Media Landscape - 2011 Facebook has over 640 million users (40% increase) and 7 billion pieces of content shared weekly. Twitter has 175 million users and there are an average of 95 million tweets a day (250% increase from 2010). YouTube has 490 million unique users worldwide, who view 92 billion page views each month, 2.9 billion hours a month. Average user spends 15 to 25 minutes a day on the site.  There are over 200 million blogs and 34% of bloggers post opinions about products and brands.  LinkedIn has 100 million users, 56% outside of the US. 100% growth from 2010.
Why brands care about social media Go where our customers are. 78% of consumers trust peer recommendations while only 14% trust advertisements.  Consumers that engage socially with brands are 50% more likely to buy – (study from market research firm Chadwich Martin Bailey and iModerate Research Technologies).
