1. What have you learnt about technologies
from the process of constructing the product?
2. Through constructing my product, I have learned how to use
may different technologies which I felt were very difficult to
operate previously. I knew I had to use a DSLR for my
photography as it produces quality pictures and it would
make my final product look more professional. In addition, I
watch many tutorials so that I completely understood
Photoshop and that way I could manipulate the quality
pictures I took with the DSLR.The combination of these
technologies were the main contributions to my magazine’s
professional display.
Therefore, this project has taught me how to correctly
operate both a DSLR and Photoshop. The DSLR
specifically allowed me really utilise the lighting and
focus. The different settings such as Manual Focus and
Flash settings gave me the power to create the exact
image I wanted to even in bad lighting. My research
into fonts through the website, www.dafonts.com , was
complemented by Photoshop as I was able to import all
these fonts and show my research. The innovation of
Photoshop made it much easier to design the magazine
as through ‘layers’ I could easily position each piece of
text to my liking and also,
3. Throughout the project, I have usedVoiceThread, Prezi,Youtube and
slideshare to present my work. I knew that PowerPoint publications did not
show a variety of demonstrations and was very limited.
