2. Dear parents and teachers
Thank you for choosing Basic Reading.
Learning to read is an amazing journey.
Learning to do it fluently, especially in a foreign language, can be a challenge. This book is designed to
help your learner improve his or her competency. It’s easy to learn from, but also easy to teach!
Basic Reading develops young learners’ reading ability by presenting high-frequency vocabulary in
reading passages that are structured based on word count. They’re not too long or too short for your
learner. The average length of each passage is 35 words in level 1, 42 words in level 2, and 50 words in
level 3. This makes it easy for readers to build up vocabulary and reading comprehension in a natural,
step-by-step manner.
This carefully designed book will set your learner forth to the joy of reading.
Thanks for allowing us to be part of their journey!
