2. Who’s Who of the Renaissance
• The Renaissance is filled with a number of
people that created amazing works of art,
literature, and new aspects of European
culture.
• As a class, we will be looking into a few of
them in greater detail.
3. Looking Deeper…
• Your group will be assigned a figure of the
Renaissance:
– Leonardo da Vinci
– King Henry VIII
– Michelangelo
– Johannes Gutenberg
– William Shakespeare
– Raphael
– Marco Polo
4. Gallery Walk: Step 1
• Each person in the group must
contribute!!
• Create a poster analyzing
(breaking down) the
information gathered from
your article.
• Title of ARTICLE
• Main idea of the article
– 5 to 6 bullet points
• Create a critical thinking
question (how or why) based
on your topic.
5. Gallery walk: Step 2
• Each group will report to their original group
when I say ‘go’.
• I will then direct you to rotate.
• I will then direct you to ‘teach’ your topic –
“teachers” if you finish ask the students the
questions!
• Students- you do not have to write every single
thing from the poster. You may paraphrase the
information, but you must write something.
• You will remain at each group for 1-2 minutes.
6. Group debriefing
• The “teacher” must now learn
from the students!
• The other 3 students will take
turns and teach the “teacher”
what they have learned from
their peers. You are giving one
another feedback!
• As the teacher is being taught
they will jot down the
information they have gathered
on their note sheet.
