The document discusses several photographs and provides feedback on their quality. One photograph is praised for having natural poses, good lighting, and decent framing, making it suitable for a magazine. Another photo has clearer lighting and space above the head to crop, fulfilling the role of portraying a smart student role model. However, most photos have dull lighting due to bad weather conditions during the shoot. The best photos have interesting angles and positioning despite the lighting challenges.
1. Photographs - Good
I really like this photo, because, although it is not perfectly focused, the poses are
natural, the lighting is good and the framing is decent. I think it looks like a good photo
for the genre of magazine that my preliminary task was for.
2. This photo was taken around the same time to a similar photograph of a worse quality.
The photo is a lot clearer and the lighting is much better, its useful for the space above
the head to be there, because it give me room to crop the picture.
3. This image is particularly good; I feel like it is aesthetically decent, but also it fulfils the role
of creating an image of smart, hard working student, which is important for creating a role
model for the younger years.
4. This would probably be on of my favourites if it wasn’t so dull. I find the framing
interesting, however, the angle is slightly off.
5. The only problem with this photo is the dull lighting condition, which is the
problem with most of the photographs, because the weather was bad that day.
However, the camera angle in this shot of the post sixteen block is great.
6. Theses two pictures both have great
angles and interesting positioning within
the mise en scene, they are my favourite
two of the shoot. However, like I stated
earlier, the dark natural lighting was a big
problem that I continually ran into
throughout the photo shoot. I like how
the pictures present the school and are
both great for the genre of my
preliminary task.
