The document discusses how the media product represents social groups through its portrayal of male artists. For the main male artist, the producer chose to depict him topless to attract female readers in addition to the typical male grime audience. Other male artists are depicted wearing branded clothing like hoodies and chains to relate to readers. A photo of the main male artist with his girlfriend shows physical intimacy to convey passion between them, with her wearing tight and short clothing considered fashionable. Quotes from interviews with artists are included in a question and answer format to engage readers by sounding more personal. Slang language and references to websites and activities like YouTube are used to better relate to the target teenage audience.

1. EVALUATION Q2: HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUP?
2. MAIN MALE ARTIST I have chosen to make my main male artist go topless on the front page of my music magazine, this is because I know that the genera grime is most associated with a male audience so I wanted my magazine to attract to female readers as well as male. I have issued my artist with props which are related with grime/r and b such as the hat, chain and belt. Although I did not exaggerate the props I believe it is as effective as having lots of chains. I made sure my male artist dressed like most teenage boys do, even though he is no wearing a shirt the fact that his trousers are low and we can see his boxers, I believe most of our male readers can relate to, also the picture of him on the double page spread he is wearing a Nike jacket, Nike is a big name brand and my readers can also connect which this.
3. OTHER MALE ARTIST The picture of my other male artist who is on my contents page I have also made sure that he conforms to the genera of grime similar to my main male artist. I have done this by dressing him in a well known branded hooded jumper, which is Ralph Lauren, I believe that this will also connect my readers to my magazine as most of my readers will wear hooded jumpers and will know the brand name Ralph Lauren, and hooded jumpers can be linked to grime/r and b. I have also given this artist a chain and a ring which is he shows off to the readers also in a subtle way, I have seen this being done in other magazines such as Blender or Vibe. In the same way as my main artist I have not given this artist a lot of props as I am going with a fairly simple theme to my magazine.
4. MAIN MALE ARTIST WITH GIRLFRIEND I have put a picture of my main male artist which his girlfriend on both the contents page and the double spread page. I chose to put the picture on the double spread page although the article is about the main artist because it related with my questions. I believe the pose I have chosen is very effective as even though the main artist is not looking at the camera the image itself tells the audience the passion/heat between them. I have dressed the female in what I believed to be in fashion, so she is wearing a tight skirt, which is short and a check shirt.

6. I saw her on TV and I was like RAH! I have also included things such as YouTube in my answers as know many of my readers will have gone on this website, I have also added some swearing and slang language to relate to my audience. My magazine I targeted to a teenager audience between the ages 14-19, more specifically to people who listen to either grime or R and B.
