2. Before I started creating my music magazine I researched style models by looking at ones already on the market such as NME, Q and Vibe. I found an NME magazine with Lily Allen on the cover I really liked and decided to use it as a style model. I really liked the bold text on top of the squares and I decided to use the style on my front cover and double page spread. I noticed the magazine uses a mixture of capitals and lower case letters and different fonts. Also I liked the bold colours such as red and yellow so I used a lot of them when I was making my music magazine. On this cover Lily’s face has been resized to fit around the text and she has been air brushed and her colour contrast has been lightened. I did the same with the photographs I used in my contents page, double page spread and front cover. I also used banners and shapes like circles to section off different pieces of information like this front cover does. The layout of this page is simple and I tried to keep mine like this by not cluttering the front cover with photographs and a lot of text.
3. The age group my magazine represents is teens to early 20’s - about 15 to 25 years old. By giving out a free poster in my magazine it attracts young people who are likely to display it in their rooms. Putting posters up is a stereotypical thing for a teenager to do and an elderly person would not be likely to want to do this. My magazine is baised on the NME magazine there for it isn’t aimed at a specific ethnic group. It is aimed at a much wider group of people by featuring a range of musical genres and artists. However, assuming everyone of one ethnic group likes the same music is unrealistic and very stereotypical. Again my magazine seems to be aimed at all different types of sexualities as it features bands who also appeal to generally all sexualities such as The Pussycat dolls, Amy Winehouse and Katy Perry. I am aware that some artists I have used in my magazine such as Dizzie Rascal appeal to a particular sexual group however, he isn’t the dominant feature of my magazine therefore someone wouldn’t be put off by this. My magaine is unisex and both males and females would enjoy reading it however, I feel it is slightly more female as the main article is about a female and the caption is “relationships, rehab and record deals” – I think that relationships is something that females would rather read about rather than males.
4. My magazine would be advertised and marketed in places such as bus stops and in TV avdverts. It would be distributed nationally as it features a lot of artists which aren’t as popular in the rest of the world as they are in the UK there fore there wouldn’t be as many copies sold in different contires as people wouldn’t be interested.

6. I created a questionnaire and got feedback from my target audience to see what they would like to see featured in my magazine. When I created my rough cuts students commented gave me some constructive criticism. The overall message my magazine is sending out it “If you buy this magazine you will be filled with all the newest music information making you up to date with the trends!”
7. Taught me to choose a suitable plain background as I had to remove posters on Photoshop on my main image It also showed me how to shoot a medium close up and distinguish between that and a close up. It also helped me with time management as I reolised how to manage my time so I was able to finish my magazine in time for the deadline. I created a plan which I followed to help me with this so I knew exactly what I had to complete during the lessons. However, I wasn’t always able to complete my work and put it on the blog as there were often problems with the system as it kept crashing. The praminally task also enabled me to practice using Photoshop and I used a lot of the skills I gained when making my real music magazine. Add photos of primaillry task
8. They told me to remove the “yellow splashes” I had on my front cover which were supposed to look like camera flashes around the article about the paparazzi. I was also told to neaten up my contents page and make everything in line with each other to make it look more professional. I also decided to change the photograph on my double page spread to a more appropriate one which looks more like a professional one. I put a photograph of Amy Winehouse on the front cover to plug my main story featured on the double page spread. I also used big bold text to show who the interview was about and attract the reader’s eye. The free poster image I created will attract the audience as it is an extra feature they will get and be able to enjoy just for reading the magazine. My double page spread consists of a question and answer with Amy Winehouse the language used is quite simple and easy to understand and topics such as drugs and music are mentioned which are stereotypically something a teenager would be interested in. These topics would not be mentioned in a magazine such as Top of the pops which is aimed at younger as it would be inappropriate. The text more visible The boarder was removed I made the pull quote more visible and added a drop capital to follow more conventions of a double page spread
