In 2015, the number of internet users worldwide was 3.17 billion (Global number of internet users, 2016).PROBABLY considered as “human basic needs” Internet as my medium choice IT’s knowledgeable! It contains millions of knowledgeable resources IT’S UNITY! TV, radios, magazines, books, NEWSPAPERs basically everything is just in there It’s effective! It is very easy and fast to use, and is the only medium I know how to use properly. It’s useful! Not only being used for entertaining purpose, as a student it is also useful for educational purpose. E.g. School work, online degree, etc. Evolution of the internet (Zimmermann 2012) Why Internet is so important? ENTERTAINMENT music, movie, TV, documentary or anything entertaining can all be found in the net. It offers greater variety of choice compared to TV cable. EDUCATION there is a great number of educational websites providing free tutoring, lessons and useful resources for study and research. Plus, more and more universities offer an online course. COMUNICATION Internet features social networking sites like Facebook, twitter, or skype to connect people around the world, which changes the way of communicating to be much easier, faster and cheaper compared to telephone. Information newspaper, radio, newspaper, encyclopedia are all in available in the net. It is very easy to access anytime 24/7 either by a click of computer or a touch of mobile screen. E-commerce internet offers a great number of online shopping sites like eBay, or amazon. More and more brands focus more on online platform to sell their products like H&M, McDonald's, etc. Also, Flights, hotels and trips can be bought online as well. Therefore people don’t need to go out for shopping anymore. How the significance of the internet has changed over time and what other factors influenced its significance? Personally, I believe the Internet has changed incredibly fast over time. Nowadays, almost 3.7 billion people around the world access to the Internet and most of them tend to rely on the Internet (Global number of internet users, 2016), there is no doubt that there are always new technologies develop everyday according to its growth, for example mobile apps, etc. which means, the Internet is not limited anymore like before. To support this, Dominick (2012) added that all traditional mass media content will be eventually contribute to the Net. As the fast growing trend of the Internet, every one minute there are 571 websites created, 2 million Facebook shares, 68,00 blog posts and 278,000 Tweets (Ever wonder how many websites are created every minutes?, 2014). The figures show that the Internet has rapidly developed everyday and become more and more significant in order to meet human needs. 17 How Skype-buddy model influences blended learning Name Institution Abstract This paper shows a correlation on improvement in then levels of learning amongst individuals and the use of technology. The sky-buddy is shown as a very interactive form of model for use in blended learning. From the research in this case, it will be shown that there is a very heightened level of enlightenment when tutors use the platform to engage students from all walks of life. The paper shows that there exists challenges with the use of the application and other form of video conferencing in areas where the internet connectivity has not penetrated in large scale. Through the use of the application, many students have been able to access education through video and distance learning. There are advantages associated with this model as will be found here namely classroom simulations, cost saving advantages, self paced form of learning among other advantages. The challenges identified in this case will include the huge costs of accessing internet in some areas, total lack of connectivity in other areas and ignorance in certain cases. The research shows that the use of the application and others of the same magnitude will go a long way in revolutionalizing the way education is conducted in the world today. The research conducted focuses upon the perception of college going young adults towards online video streaming services. Researcher has worked upon responses gathered from young adults, their perceptions and various options available to them. Researchers collected responses from 120 college going young adults from Pune. The respondents were from the age category of 15 to 25 years of age. The data was collected using google forms and it was analysed using Google’s analytical tools. It was found that most of the student services and these services proved to be one of the biggest sources of entertainment for these students. Traditional media is losing its lustre because of various advantages of streaming services. Students admitted that their schedule is affected because of time spent on video streaming services. Today the top three video streaming platforms are YouTube, Netflix and Hotstar.

The acronyms stand for ‘Person to Person’ (P2P) & ‘Application to Person’ (A2P) messaging or communication. ‘P2P’ communication has existed for decades with emails being in use since personal computers started consuming our lives. Then came ‘SMS’ and now ‘Social Media’ & ‘Instant Messengers’. ‘P2P’ communication has morphed over the years in behavioural aspects, for example in today’s frequently accessed communication methods timeline updates and broadcast communication is behaviourally leading the way we communicate. These new approaches with which we communicate has engulfed and consumed our lives to the extent that we are not in a position to get through our daily activities without indulging in this mode of communication. It has become the main source of preoccupation in our lives. This mode of communication is essentially unstructured messaging, by unstructured messaging we mean sharing of free form text, images, video, etc. ‘A2P’ communication as the name implies has an application (computing system or a back office software) at one end and a person at the other end. Usually communication content is structured in nature like transactional reference information, account activity information and so on. ‘A2P’ communication started getting popular in the 90s when computing technology allowed open communication between systems, this was the time when the internet and emails started becoming prevalent. But there were security concerns on whether it was safe to openly communicate information related to one’s account or transactions, as a result organizations did not use this form of communication in a significant way until more secure communication (on the wire) alternatives emerged in the past decade or so.
