2. The title sequence starts with a creepy bible quote which
contrasts with the fact that we know it’s horror film coming
on, due to the name ‘The forbidden room', it starts off
completely silent but then the sound of a fire burning starts
to fade in, and become louder, The font is very basic and the
background is also as it just uses white on a plain black
background.
3. The sequence then fades in a smoke kind of title with ‘PHI
films’ I think this looks affective as its mysterious, they
constantly keep putting titles on the sequence saying ‘PHI
films’ but in different ways, they constantly keep repeating the
name of their company but very fast, and just short shots so it
doesn’t get boring for the audience. The music suddenly fades
in, with load creek, radio tuning sounds, and burning wood, all
layered on top of each other to give a creepy sound effect.
4. I liked how they used different styles of backgrounds and fonts and
paired this with the type of music they had in the background For
example, the picture above had almost classical music, something
you’d expect to hear in the 1920’s and the background and font is very
basic but with the a type of font that you’d expect on a letter, They
never had the same background and each piece of music faded into
one another, so it was almost like an evolution of music in a very
creepy and mysterious way.
5. I also liked how they sometimes zoomed in and out very quickly
to give a distorted effect. The first names we see are the costume
designers implying that the costumes must have been a vital part
of the film. I really liked how the title sequence wasn’t consistent,
it was always unexpected using different genre’s each time, this
could show how unpredictable the film is.
6. This was the second names shown, this title was on for a bit
longer emphasizing the supervising producers, this title also had
a lot of after effects put on as it started off more dark and clear,
then very quickly a loud noise came on and then the colours
lightened and the title became distorted.
