What did I do?
-Making hole for the front part.
Today, I start doing a hole for the front part so the brightness of the bulb can pass through. The
hole will be in a semi circle shape so I used a sharp pencil,tri-ruler,steel ruler and a semi-circle
shape to help me doing the shape of the hole. After measuring the shape correctly, I drill a hole
in the shape using the drill machine. I used a big long drill bit to make hole in the shape so the
blade of the coping saw will fit through the hole. I ask Mr.Anderson to help me to take out the
blade from the coping saw. I just need to push the handle down and gently pull the blade out
carefully and fit in the hole which I drilled and fixed it back to the coping saw. I used a bench
hook to help me to hold the wood when cutting the piece out. The hole was not perfectly
rounded so I used a file and a round file to help me to make the hole more perfectly rounded.
Weakness
My weakness is to take off the blade form the coping saw because I never done it before. I
asked some of my friends but they didn’t know too. So, I asked Mr.Anderson to helped me.
He teach me that to take of the blade. I push the handle on the table and gently take the
blade carefully.
Strength
My strength is when doing the hole using the drill machine because I have used drill machine a
lot when doing keychain. I used a big drill bit to make a hole so the blade pin of the coping saw
can fit into the hole. I used an Safety glass to protect my eye from the dust.

2. Emotions
I feel so happy because I can continue to do my project. My project is going well and nothing changes
happen. My lamp look perfect that’s make me happy. I think I can finish my project in few more weeks
because I just need to do the roof part next.
Next
Next, I will file some bit of sharp edges and then I will look for pine wood fro the roof. I will cut to 8
pieces of rectangle block. I also will choose what material will I will used to cover the roof. Then, I
can sand all the part of the lamp and connect them with glues and screw. After they connected I will
paint them.

-Open minded
I choose to be open minded because I learn new things,equipment and skill in Dt. I would learn more
skill so I have a skill to fix or make an object or stuff in future. I also can design new design of shape
or material.
