2. WHAT IS AN INDUSTRIAL PARK
THE IDEA
Industrial Parks are areas with necessary infrastructure dedicated to them. The aim of the Park is to ensure that industrial activities are carried out in appropriate places as well as the other activities and services, to act as guides towards urbanization, to prevent environmental problems, to benefit from information and informatics technologies, and to enable manufacturing industries to locate and develop according to a pre-defined plan.

3. POLARIS PARKS
Polaris Parks is the first initiative of its kind in Egypt , both as a “Private “ industrial park and as a “large scale” joint collaboration between Turkey and Egypt, aiming to enhance the competitive edges of both countries in order to enable them penetrating global markets.

4. THE PROJECT
POLARIS INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIAL PARKS – Cornerstone Ceremony
The project was launched in January 2008 by President of Turkey, H.E. Abdullah Gul in the presence of former Minister of Trade and Industry H.E. Rachid M.Rachid

5. WHO IS POLARIS PARKS
Polaris Parks works for the development of the country together with its industry, in order to adopt and compete in the global economy.
Polaris Parks prepare the necessary environment for the industry while aiding investors through difficulties of start-up period and moving into operation phases.
In order to do this Polaris Parks develops unutilized areas into industrial compounds with finest infrastructure networks, offering value added facilities and providing professional management systems.

Polaris Parks executes two industrial park development projects in 6th October City, Egypt.

7. POLARIS PARKS – 6TH OCTOBER CITY

The city has a population above 2.5 million, and expected to reach 3,7 Million with the residential areas and compounds that are being developed to support the city.

There are seven private universities, including two private medical schools. Student population is expected to reach 49.000 students with the addition of new universities.

The city also hosts private and public hospitals, hotels, amusement centers and shopping malls
.

The Industrial Area increased by 9 million squaremeters with Northern Expansion Zone including Polaris projects.

STANDARD FACTORY BUILDINGS
Polaris builds standard factory buildings (SFB’s) starting from 1.500 meter squares closed section or multiples with a standard technical specifications. These buildings are designed for manufacturing and warehousing with infrastructure and ready facilities for rent and sale to small or medium sized enterprises to facilitate their startup processes. Polaris can also build factory buildings based on the specifications provided by the potential investors.

19. TAQA 6TH OCTOBER
ENERGY
Electricity distribution on Northern Extension of 6th October City Industrial Area have been granted to Taqa for 6th October. Taqa will build an 375MW electricity substation to transform high voltage energy used in transferring electricity into low voltage energy used in factories.
The project will require a total investment of EGP 320 Million and will serve all private industrial parks in the Northern Extension of 6 October City Industrial Zone.

20. CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
EMPLOYMENT CENTER – CENTER of EXCELLENCE
Polaris International Industrial Parks have signed a special agreement of an Employment Center with German International Development Cooperation (GIZ).
With this partnership Polaris intends to offer solutions to the paradox of high unemployment rate – lack of qualified labour within the project’s region beyond the boundaries of the park itself.
