4. For most, the internet is divided into two parts, electronic mail, commonly called email, and the World Wide Web (WWW)

5. Email was invented before WWW and it developed and used for military purposes.

6. The solution, developed in 1968, was to create a computer based system that used a kind of automatic dynamic rerouting

7. The government Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPAnet) was set up to make this reality, and at first it’s only available for testing at a few american colleges.

8. ARPAnet popularity among academics (both collaborating and socializing) prompted the american national science foundation to create a version that it called the Internet

9. After first being available only to colleges, the internet was quickly licensed and distributed to commercial service providers and other institutions.

10. The big difference was that were ideas were previously published in journal or books that a reader had to buy, now the same information could be published without cost.

11. On WWW many kinds of file, information and data are collected and shared trough all over the world in a few seconds.
