This document presents the results of a study comparing the organizational culture and conditions for educational improvement between two municipal high schools in Chile. The study found differences in organizational culture, with one school showing higher levels of involvement, consistency and adaptability. It also found differences in dimensions of educational improvement, with one school demonstrating stronger strategic orientation, teacher influence and institutional resources. A relationship was identified between organizational culture and conditions for educational improvement at each school. Proposals are made for intervention strategies to strengthen areas of opportunity.
