The document summarizes an upcoming conference called "Futuro" organized by MOX Digital to be held on May 25-26, 2017 at the Museu do Amanhã in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Over the two days, the conference will focus on four main themes: mobile technologies on day one, and how they have empowered consumers; technology disruptions and their impact on business models; applications of big data and how data can fuel changes; and preparing people and workforces for the digital future. A variety of speakers from Brazil, Latin America and abroad will address these topics. The goal of the conference is to explore how digital is shaping the future across various sectors.

.Futuro is the first conference organized by MOX Digital and aims at
highlighting how digital is one of the main forces shaping the future.
Focusing on specific examples and case studies, our conference will
lay stress on new behaviors and on how to benefit from these, while
preparing for the next ones coming.
We invite renowned speakers and professionals in order to understand
precisely and concretely what is changing in society and companies.
We want to go beyond the obvious and the too-often-used-but-
rarely-understood expressions such as big data, digital transformation
or virtual reality.

Who should attend the event?
We mainly think of executives from the corporate and institutional
world and entrepreneurs who tackle on a daily basis the changes
related to digital and who want to meet and hear about how others
and experts face theses.
The event is also aimed at journalists, investors or teachers who are
interested in these topics.
Our logo represents the 3 pillars of our concept:
- The central point represents digital that shapes our future;
- The green dots are cities from South America. Our goal is to
create a regional platform for professional interested in the area
where we shall host other events;
- The links connecting the dots are symbols of the connections we
intend to foster between the people attending the conference,
whether speakers or participants.

Project First edition
We chose Rio de Janeiro, and Brazil, to host our first edition as the city and
country witnessed drastic changes over the last decade.
Biggest economy in Latin America, Brazil is often referred to as “the capital of
social networks” to illustrate the pace with which people adopted new
behaviors. With the World Cup and the Olympic Games, Rio epitomizes these
changes with a vivid digital ecosystem and smart city programs.

mankind, which echoes the ambition of .

• Thursday 25/05 morning:
MOBILE
Brazil has the highest number of SIM card per
inhabitant in the world (240M for a population
of 200M). With mobile being the main access
point to the Internet, we see new behaviors
creating challenges and opportunities for
newcomers and for incumbents.
• Thursday 25/05 afternoon:
TECHNOLOGY
Mobile technologies sparked new behaviors
calling for new services, providers and rules. But
much more is underway with Artificial
Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality, 3D
printing or even robots.
Agenda 2 days of conference
• Friday 26/05 morning:
DATA
Data is the common denominator of all
innovation. Often spoken of but rarely
understood, one has to know how to collect
data, organize it and act on it to transform
data into more efficient decisions and actions.
• Friday 26/05 afternoon:
PEOPLE
Yet, in the end, it’s people who make decisions
and implement them. New skill sets are
needed from providers and employees while
education itself is being transformed and
announces a different future.
