2. Nick driving
1. atmosphere noise – wind, cars, dust, nick humming
the tune to hotel California which is on the radio.
2. Nick “hmm this place looks good”
Hotel car park
1. radio and engine cut and hear the car door shut and
start to hear the classical music from the hotel.
Hotel lobby
1. swinging door Ralph “welcome to the hotel
California”
2. Nick “Hi how much is a room here”
3. Ralph “well, we do not aim to make profit here so
anything you can afford”
4. Nick “woow alright, what times checkout?”
5. Ralph “You can check out anytime you like, but you
can never leave ((pause)Bell ding ) i’m joking of
corse “
Hotel corridor
1. Ralph "come now let me show you to your room i'm
sure your exhausted and would love to settle down as
soon as possible, just to inform you of the other
facilities and features of the hotel, your room has
a bath shower, a double bed and a fully stocked mini
bar free of charge, we also have a free bar off the
lobby which i would recommend for pre-drinks before
the nightly party in the main hall"

3. 2. Nick "Nightly party?"
3. Ralph "Well MR?"
4. Nick "Wightman, Nick Wightman
5. Ralph "Well Mr Wightman, we are only on this planet
for a number of days so at the hotel California we
wish for everyone to have the most exciting and the
most enjoyable days here"
6. Nick "That sounds great, ill have to pop by tonight
but i'm only planning on staying a couple of days
and i will have to continue my travels the day after
tomorrow"
7. Ralph laughs "everyone "plans" to stay for a couple
of days but the hotel is so popular people tend not
to leave"
8. Nick "wow so business is good"
Outside Nicks room
1. Ralph "like i told you in the lobby Mr Wightman, we
do not charge, your happiness is our goal and
ambition, here is your room and we must have a drink
at the bar before the party, you seem a very
interesting man"
2. Nick "Yes ofcorse ill see you later"
Hotel bar
1. Ralph "ahh Nick You made it how did you find your
room?"
2. Nick "Its great, so luxurious, im a writer
travelling you see and i will rate this hotel very
highly when i leave"
3. Ralph "ha well we will have to see what we can do
about that, you see everything i believe you have
been looking for your whole life is at this hotel,

4. everything and more specifically everybody you've
been looking for, ahh yes let me introduce you to
the beautiful Miss Rodgers, Charlotte this is Nick,
Nick this is Charlotte"
4. Charlotte "Hi Nick I've heard a lot about you, I've
even read your book"
5. Nick "Hi Charlotte, thats incredible did you enjoy
it?"
6. Charlotte " It was freeing of the mind, aren't you
going to get me a drink?"
7. Nick "Of corse, two ..."
8. Charlotte "Long island ice tea please"
9. Bar keep "corse me lady"
10. Nick "so how long have you been here for?"
11. Charlotte "As long as i care too remember"
12. Nick "really what about your family"
13. Charlotte "i am from New York and moved here
when i was 18 and i have just stayed ever since"
14. Ralph "Charlotte is one of our wildest guests
and still is missing something in her life but i
told her if you're patient and wait here it will
come to her and it appears like it has"
15. Nick "Indeed"
Charlottes room
1. Nick "Oh my god, ahh my head, crap i'm gonna go ..."
2. Sick effect
3. "what happened last night, i feel awful, my head
feels like a piece of delicate pottery and every
time i move it smashes into a thousand pieces over
and over again"
4. "I need to find out what happened last night and
also who's is this room, oh noo, Charlotte i
remember it all went so fast she was so relatable,

5. however even though i feel awful it appears like the
night was the best night of my life and that this is
what i could have been looking for, Charlotte is
special, this strange feeling inside , i think, i
think i love Charlotte"
