§ CGIAR-COVID-19 Hub under Agriculture for Nutrition and Health
§ Digital disease monitoring of crop, livestock and fish diseases in
Bangladesh is a part of CGIAR COVID-19 Hub initiatives
§ Digital disease monitoring (crop, fish and livestock) can take a
key role in building resilience as hence contributing to
Sustainable aquaculture and One-health approach
§ All interventions leveraged to existing projects and fish disease
work is mapped to Pillar 4 and 5 of WF-CEFAS-ODA one health
project.

3. Digital crop disease monitoring
§ First step: Training extension agents in crop disease diagnosis and
reporting
§ Plant clinics and data uploads through plantvise mobile application (CABI)
§ Creating map interface for DAE ( through API) Biweekly bulletins
§ Second step: Real time data through AI (mobile image based disease
recognition)
§ Testing AI platform in Bangladesh and training extension agents and
farmers and linking data to the map interface of DAE. Creating hotspot
alerts for extension officers.
4. Digital fish disease monitoring
§ Generating disease locations data is the key
WorldFish -MOUs with data sharing agreement
with key labs (disease and location) .
§ Telephone surveys/chat bots/IVR to generate
disease intelligence from extension officers and
input dealers
§ Integrating the data to map interface – Linked to
Pillar 4..
§ Disease maps and hotspot advisory for DoF
5. Digital fish disease monitoring
§ Disease intelligence
§ Antibiotic sales data and analytics to identify spikes.
§ Fish quality control data analytics (antibiotic trace and

applications (Considered for livestock)

validated data on fish diseases
