1. Summary
A walk among the tombstones trailer
At the beginning of ‘A Walk Among The Tombstones’ trailer you see Liam
Neeson playing the role of a police officer (ex now) in New York at what looks
like a saloon bar, he’s sat minding his own business and the dialog begins
speaking “I was off duty one day in this bar in Washington Heights, a couple of
guys came in to rob the place” which immediately draws you in and as he’s
saying that you see three men come into the bar with guns, and audio effects
are added in because the shootings are too loud and empathized to be done
right there and then.
It is in black and white because it’s a flashback of his life events and when it
does change to normal colouring there is a lot of close up camera footage
mostly when things are focused on someone’s face. Liam Neeson is a well-known
and recognisable person especially in this movie genre because he has
played detectives with different backgrounds before and he’s mostly been
involved in helping people with their missing/kidnapped children/his own
child/or someone’s wife, so it didn’t shock me when it got more into the trailer
that he’s involved in yet another kidnap/action movie…
2. What I noticed too late was that he has alcoholic shots by his mug of
coffee/tea and he actually drinks both of them because when it focuses back
on them after the men start shooting, both of the shot glasses are empty, it
must be early morning because he’s reading the paper and has his morning
coffee, so that’s questionable, could he be an alcoholic? Maybe that’s why his
reaction time was so slow and when he runs outside and tries to shoot again
he ends up finding his way to a crowd that’re surrounding someone who’s
been shot and Liam Neeson looks guilty as hell.
