A Critique of the Proposed National Education Policy Reform
Amys death and its aftermath
1. Amys death and its aftermath
Firstly ho the director used his techniques to show the effect of her
death had on the people was a lot of footage that was made with news
reports and hand held camera. This showed the effect of how many
people looked at her and really showed how her death had such a big
impact on these people. With this effect it showed to us how the public
reacted and the news therefor making us feel similar emotions due to
seeing these people like this, essaplessially being so close to her and on
the other hand people not that close to her reacting the same.
Another thing he did was use the interviews of family and friends to get
a direct approach on the situation in hand. Most of them doing voce
over the clips on screen. This also is done by showing the people who
where talking on screen ether at there funeral, with Amy or where they
were now. This shows how the world is moving forward even after the
main protagonist’s death. As well as showing and hearing the peoples
last thoughts on the singer after a controversial death. Giving the last
thoughts would make the audience feel emanations and make them
feel like they where in there shoes of losing a loved one.
Last area to look at is the last segment of the documentary. When this
part happened you where shown images of Amy at her prime and then
slowly going back to her younger days. In these shots they zoom in on
her eyes or really more on her pupils showing some of the more
innocent photos of her when her eyes weren’t shot up due to the drugs
as well as some shot where you could tell although. All of these photos
where of happy memory’s and the times she enjoyed and was so called
“happy”. These shots have the change in music too to more of a
harmonic dark tone although the images are happy you will still feel
hurt and upset.
