The term arête is an ancient Greek word defining perfection or virtue. Ideologies of philosophers explain that the arête of any unspecified thing is the elevated worth condition it can attain. This term is connected to two words to araomai or to pray and to aristo which means the best and from the two words, aristocracy rule for the good people was formed. According to a reviewed article, it is indicated that the use of the arête principle for any living organism defines how one is concentrated on the excellence of everything he does and undergo some feeling or process (D Bowker,2011). In real sense, arête in some situation it would means distinct thing for distinct individuals. However, this essay aim at discussing the importance of and reflect on some particular instance in which it manifested itself in the Illiand and the Odyssey.
For instance, in the Odyssey, Penelope contains the arête because she is considered the excellent wife that a lady can appear. As per a reviewed article, Odysseus is seen owning the arête because he is really resourceful and reckons up effective schemes. On the other hand, it is seen that Achilles in the Iliad too had arête, since he was considered the excellent warrior in battle that a man can show.
Moreover, the arête concept is used as a belief that people can be better. This is because the notion of the human arête explains that most individuals accept that the worth of us are those who struggle to head lives of goodness. Due to that notion, it became possible for people to be the best.
In the Iliad, the characters of the warrior who was cunning, fierceness and with excellent skills, is used to show the accurate awareness of humanity in a society engaged in armed conflicts. In the Odyssey, which was a later narrative, arête is used to that even undesirable events and grief can be undergone with goodness as in the warrior-hero’s characters (Nelson, 2017). Lastly, the Greek uses Socrates who was a hero and real man to show to the pursuit of righteous and understating greatness. In summary, the arête was educative and important to the ancient Greek because people could learn that it is possible to being the best.

5. Essay 3-2: Explain how the Great Fire of London can be viewed
as both a curse and a blessing
The great fire of London was a significant destruction. This
happed after the disastrous fire broke out in the residence house
of King Charles II’s baker on Pudding roadway that was
approaching London Bridge. The fire suddenly stretched out to
Thames Street where stores which were occupied with
combustibles and powerful easterly wind changed the flame into
a large fire (Porter, 2011). Since it was dry summer seasons
when the land was hot and filled with powerful winds, the
flames were more encourage by the winds and they again and
again overtook those who tried to put off the fire. This essay
aims at explaining how the great fire can be seen as both a curse
and a blessing.
However, the Great fire of London covered 13,000 buildings,
with almost 90 churches and total number of public houses.
Ideas from a reviewed article show that the old St. Paul’s
Cathedral church was damaged together with other past
landmarks. This Great Fire of London was a curse because it
left many residents of London lacking permanent areas of
living. This was just after most of the homes were covered by
6. the fire and completely burned. Secondly, it was like a curse
because Eighty-seven houses of God were burned. Additionally,
the state London lost 70,000 citizens due to the destructive
influx that made many the methods of ending the burning
difficult.
On the other hand, the fire was like a blessing because the
damage presented the beginning of a heartfelt estate in more
filled city. Moreover, the area which was left unoccupied
offered space for adopting modern ways that were on great
demand. Lastly, it was a like a blessing to have the great fire
because after new houses were constructed, The London city
developed current popular trends and it was named Supreme
CityAbbott, (Patrick, 1995). In summary, the great fire of
London was destructive but it was also associated with some
blessings.

The term feminist movement reflects to a separate social motion
that is greatly founded in the United States. This movement
seeks adequately equivalent rights and chances for women it
their economic action, individual lives, and political affairs.
The Feminist Movement is regarded as the second wave of the
biggest women movement since the first movement occurred in
early 19th and 20th centuries. Notions from many philosophers
explain that the first wave targeted on female rights as amended
by the law, while the second female movement began in 1960s
and 70s and it was concerned with female experiences like
family, daily tasks, education and sexuality. The second wave
developed to agree many other examples of affection
(Humphrey, 2013).
Some of the feminist literature and art that lead to this
movement include, French philosopher and writer who came up
with The Second sex art in 1953. The published book had
pointed on some of the key interests held by females and the
look of burdensome that they greatly underwent in the whole
world. Secondly, Betty Friedan and her Feminine Mystique
which she published in 1963, it disputed the male who had taken
the overall power of heading the society and the roles of
females in the society. Her art mainly debated against sure
social appearances of child concern and household management.
In 1984, Gloria Watkins who was also known as bell hooks, also
provided an important view into the effect of feminism on the
Civil Right Movement which was found in her Feminist Theory.
Kate Millett also published a sexual politics booklet that talked
about female level of critique (Riggs, 2013). However, as many
of the feminist stopped focusing on these issues, the African
