Alchemy is a seemingly magical
process of transformation, creation,
or combination, fundamentally

E-motion can
deform, inform
and transform.
Your intention
determines what
will happen.
What combinations of
e-motional ingredients will
work best for you?
Everyone’s best “recipe”
will be unique and will
work best with ongoing
evolution.

The relationship to emotion that most people choose,
consciously or by default, is resistance. But it is like resisting
life itself, you feel empty, alone and eventually overwhelmed.
What you resist doesn’t just persist, it possesses your life
without your permission! You also lose the energy of your
e-motions and a possible path to peace in your life.
How about instead you;
- expand your idea of what the purpose and possibilities of e-
motion are.
- choose to be a conscious and curious creator of your
emotional experience.
- constantly explore and evolve your emotional experience to
your liking.

PRACTICAL SKILLFUL E-MOTION EVOLVERS
 SAY YES, OK, I CONSENT, I CHOOSE - end the war against emotion, yourself, life as it is
 PICK IT UP AND PUT IT DOWN - practice consciously opening and closing to the flow of emotion
 ASK WHAT IS NEEDED - address yourself, your soul, the emotion itself
 GENTLE TOUCH - hand on the heart hand on the belly, patting, stroking your face or your arm
 PHYSIOLOGICAL ASSISTANCE – heating/cooling , stretching, walking, rocking, healthy drink/food, quiet
 NATURE – go outside, particularly with trees, we are part of nature and it is built to regulate our bodies
 CHANGE POSITION – lay down, stand up, lay on the floor with your feet up the wall, yoga poses
 WRITE, TALK, SEND IT OUT – obsessive thought slows with recording or witnessing by safe people
 CHANGE THE PICTURE IN YOUR HEAD – images are powerful, create a library of peaceful pictures
 RELAXATION, MINDFULNESS OR OTHER MEDITATION AUDIOS – positive recorded brain washing

All these practices need to be uniquely personalized to you and your current circumstances.

WHY IS IT
SO HARD
TO FEEL
E-MOTION?
We believe we shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable.
We haven’t learned how to do it effectively!
We believe we are doing life wrong if we feel bad.
We feel some fierce emotions and get afraid of them.
We don’t believe we have the ability to move through it.
We are unfamiliar with the full range of our e-motions.
Addiction to sensory relief and sensory highs is the norm.
We are a society of head dwellers and have lost our body
wisdom that can help us through emotional experience.
Living out of touch with whole selves makes us feel sad, bad
and alone, reinforcing the delusion that relief resides outside us.
(and yes there will come a point to deal with actual external
problems, but many disappear with more emotional stability!)

Your Emotion is Not
the Problem
The Problem is Not the
Problem
Your Approach can
be a Problem.
What Positive Practice
will you choose to
take with you today?
What are your worst and best e-motional ingredients?
What plans do you have to evolve problematic ones and
exploit positive ones?
 What scares you most about exploring your e-motions?
What positive psychogenic story do you want to tell about
your ability to evolve your emotions?
What is your plan or practice to meet difficult emotional
experience?

Some Initial Suggestions for Ongoing
E-motional Exploration, Evolution & Alchemy
HOW TO EFFECTIVELY EXPLORE E-MOTION
1. Make a plan about how you will start, share and stop experiencing emotion.
2. Make the plan externally operational – have cue cards, recorded audio and support.
Most of us lose our minds when we feel big emotions – reminders are good resources.
3. Make the point to just be with what ever experience appears. (Not to get rid of it!).
4. Practice on small moments and feelings first and build up to harder situations slowly.
5. Celebrate and share your successes, fears and flops with others on this path. Daily
reviews of your e-motional experiences are excellent to clarify and correct your course.
