From Vision to Implementation – a Complete, Compliant, Consistent eTMF system.Pfizer had an extremely aggressive schedule to take their vision and create software that supported their TMF compilation and management processes. The session will review some of the key features built included in this new system in support of Pfizer’s vision, including:A consistent TMF via the use of a configurable list setup wizard that defines the expected inventory of documents in the TMF for a studyChange management for study TMF lists provides a feedback mechanism to improve the results of subsequent wizards and reduce manual changes to study listsMetrics capture throughout the processing of documents to pinpoint areas for process improvement or the application of additional resourcesActive and Historical enterprise dashboards on for TMF completeness and complianceAutomation of data feeds from CTMS to drive creation of new placeholders when new investigators and subjects are added to studiesApplication Preferences that allow users in different groups to only see documents they care about/are responsible forExtensible UI and data architecture to support changing business process and new technologies (think iPads for Site Monitors
2. Architecture- Key points:- Scalability for Reporting and Content ingestion- Interface to tie to:- CTMS (Clinical Trial Management System)- Detects when a new study, site, subject, investigator comes from the CTMS system and it will auto create placeholders for subject and investigator and notify TMF Study owner about new study, site...so that the Configurator can be run.
4. Screen shots for ImportGoal Optimize indexing documents to the fewest possible steps.
The Enterprise Metrics page is a home page preference option for any user that is not in the TMF User, Processing Center Staff, or Regulatory Agency security group. It will be the default home page for the TMF Director, TMF Lead Study Owner, and Processing Center Manager users. The page contents will display the TMF Compliance Summary and TMF Activity Summary dashboards. Figure 6 shows a potential design for the Enterprise Metrics home page.
The Study Metrics page is a home page preference option for any user. It will be the default home page for the TMF Study Owner users. The page contents will be a list of studies with document counts for each document state (Open, Active, In Progress, Coming Due, and Past Due). Clicking an individual study row will take the user to a detail page that has a breakdown of the counts by another selectable group for that particular study. Figure 7 shows a potential design for the Study Metrics home page
The Document List View page is a home page preference option for any user. It will not be pre-configured to be the default home page for any users, but those users who are permitted to change their preferences may select this page as their home page. (See Section 3.1.4 Preventing Preference Changes) Selection of this page as the user’s home page will also require the user to populate additional preferences to prevent all TMF documents from being displayed. The page contents will be a list of documents and TMF placeholders with their associated attributes. A document list view page will be displayed when a user navigates directly to a study or site with the top navigation, or when a user navigates into a sub-group in the secondary page after the Study Metrics or Site Metrics page. Figure 9 shows a potential design for the Document List View home page.
The Message/Tasks page is a home page preference option for any user. It will be the default home page for all Processing Center Staff users. The page contents will be two inbox components. One inbox will contain messages/tasks specifically for the current user. The second inbox will be a group work queue of all “unassigned” tasks in the work queue. Clicking an individual inbox or task queue item row will take the user to another page that has a task manager interface. Additionally, users will be able to perform operations on a group of tasks in the queues. Figure 10 shows a potential design for the Messages/Tasks home page
