8. THE FOUR BASIC LEADERSHIP STYLES ARE S 1 DIRECTING- Leader defines the role and task of follower and supervise them closely. S 2 COACHING- Leader still defines role and task, but seeks ideas and suggestions from followers. S 3 SUPPORTING- Leader passes day to day decisions, such as task allocation and processes to the followers. S 4 DELEGATING- Leaders are still involved in decisions and problem solving, but control is with the follower.
