3. Life of Marie Curie
Born Maria Sklodowska on November 7,
1867 in Warsaw, Poland, she was the youngest
of five children of poor school teachers. When
her parents could not support her anymore , she
started reading and studying in her own time so
as to quench her thirst for knowledge ; a passion
she never lost.
4. Difficulties of Marie’s Life
Becoming a teacher was her only way of
being independent but it was impossible as her
family was poor. Her difficulty with money did
not allow her for formal higher education.
5. A Twist In Her Life
The happy moment of her life was when her
sister gave Marie a chance to go to Paris with a
chance of getting into University. She
immediately agreed and went there . She got
into Sorbonne University . In 1894 , she met
Pieree Curie , who she married a year later.

All of us should never give up on what we
want , no matter what challenges we may face.
