The 1st AD is the live-line between the director and
the rest of the production crew.THEY ARETHE
DIRECTOR’s RIGHT HAND.
The 1st AD break down the script, leads production
meetings, determine the shooting schedule and
how long each scene will take to film.
On set the 1st AD run the set, which gives the
director opportunity to focus on the actors, their
performance and the framing of shots.
