In most of the organizations, the rewards and compensation system are the key components which are imperative to the rights of the employees. The two words are meaningfully designed to reflect the employer of the employee’s performance at work. Such rewards are given to employees for an outstanding commendation of their work. Whereas, benefits is a non- monetary compensation rewarded to employees in affix to their standard wages. The mentioned rights are for the employees and their corresponding benefits.

In view of the General Motors, this is the subject of this study. In the background
history of this company, it deals on the manufacturing cars and other motor
vehicles. With the addition of Financing, it created a General Motors Financial
Company, Inc. which administers financing aspect to the customers. It made
various branches and expansions all throughout the United States and other
countries as well. But in the time of recession, it badly hit and affects the company
facing its bankruptcy and declared as bankrupt companies in 2009. Due to this
issue, the company is now at the verge of issues confronting employees
compensation and benefits most to the retirees, It has been labeled as the worst
ever in the motor companies labor issues. It was so massive and intense worst
crisis resulting to the fear of the employees for not getting benefits due to them.
Even amidst the crises, they GM company were given a bail out to sustain and find
means of providing employees of their benefits, but even due consideration the
company resisted to provide such. As an effect, no employees would want to work
for GM Company for the fear of not getting compensation and remunerations. It
makes tragic impact to employees and investors for it did not declare bankruptcy
for the reason that the government tried to sustain and support the company. Even
in amidst the crises it is an obvious fact that they violated the compensation system
and the rights of the employees.
Other Organizations Faced Compensation Issues
This kind of issue does not only happen to General Motors but in various
companies as well. Like in the case of a famous multinational company named
Enron Company which faces same issues by not giving proper benefits and
compensation to their employees. The company dazzled into a bankruptcy and
result to harm the lives of several employees for their compensation. In December
2, of 2012 Enron Company breaks into the fall of bankruptcy. It yielded the most
numbered workers among the country and regarded as the America’s most
Innovative Company, yet in spite of that it faced the problem within their accounting
methods tricking their employees and customers of the financial status made by
the officials and other corporates with the effect of shame and corporate corruption
of the company. It further made a relative negativity to Arthur Andersen Accounting
Company. The company Enron ceased in giving rewards and benefits to the
3. employees for their compensation which is a turbulent violation of the employees’
rights.
Another company which follows the same pattern of violation is the Lehman
Brothers which made great and massive challenges in the employee’s
