After Imam Hussein was killed at Karbala, Yazid's army attacked the tents and burned them, stealing women's jewelry. Imam Sajjad was rescued from the burning tents by Bibi Zainab. That night they slept outside and the next day were taken to Kufa, where Bibi Zainab gave a speech about what happened. They were then forced to travel to Damascus in the hot sun with little food or water, where Imam Sajjad was chained and made to walk behind the heads of those killed. In Yazid's palace they saw him disrespecting Imam Hussein's head while drinking. Bibi Zainab and Imam Sajjad again

What happened
after KARBALA

4. After Imam Husain (as) was killed, Yazid's army descended on the tents
like wild animals, burning each tent one after the other. Women and
children ran from one tents to the other to seek protection

5. They even stole Sakina’s
earrings ripping them from
her ears

6. IMAM SAJJAD(AS) WHO WAS VERY SICK AND COULD
NOT STAND ,WAS RESCUED FROM THE BURNING
TENTS BY BIBI ZAINAB (AS)

7. That night the family
of Rasulallah (saw) slept
out in the cold as
Bibi Zainab(s)
gathered all the
survivors together.
At first, she could not
find Bibi Sakina (s)
But finally found her
near the body of
Imam Hussain (s)

8. Next day-Imam Zain Ul abedin, Bibi Zainab, Bibi Umm Kulthum and
the rest of the women and children were taken to the city of Kufa on
the orders of Ibn Ziyad – Yazid’s governor

9. People of Kufa threw stones at the prisoners,
because they were told they were rebels

10. Bibi Zainab (s) gives a powerful speech, telling the crowd that they were not rebels but the
family of Rasulallah (s). She tells them what happened in Karbala
The people start crying and protesting against Ibn Ziyad

11. Ibn Ziyad , got scared and sends the
captives to his boss Yazid in Damascus

12. Karbala
The prophet’s family are forced to travel 750 miles in hot
desert sun, to Yazid’s palace.
On the way, The are treated very badly with little food
and water.

by Ibn Ziyad before he
could join Imam Hussein

Mukhtar caught the criminals of Karbala and
questioned them and punished them
