1. Evaluation of my final advert
How does your finished product compare to your design?
My final advert has slightly changed from my initial concept and design.
My original design was brightly coloured and fun where as my actual advert
has no colour and mysterious but I prefer this better because it gives it more
edge.
The colour scheme was summer colours but my final design is white and
black.
The block designs have stayed the same as what I planned.
My target audience is the same because I was aiming it at a older target
audience and I still am. As a young girl wouldn’t want to buy something that’s
mysterious and dark.
How has technology, (computer, digital, printer) helped you turn your
design into a real product?
Technology has played a big role in making my product come alive.
I was able to use photo shop and I learned how to edit the models and add in
details that weren’t there before.
It had different elements and tools I could use to make my product look
effective.
I was able to choose from a range of fonts and colours.
Do you feel that your product is suitable for your target audience?
I feel that my advert is aimed at my target audience as its message
sad/longing for the past. I have deliberately chosen a middle age, classy well
known model to promote my perfume because everyone knows her and she
is very popular.
Describe two challenges you have overcome?
The first challenge I had to overcome in this project is learning how to use
photoshop which was vital in making my advert look realistic
The second challenge was learning how to analyse existing perfume adverts
and exploring the denotation and connotations.
I learnt to use specialist media terminology and how to analyse them in detail.
2. Describe the technical skills you have gained?
I have learnt to copy an image onto photoshop which involves me opening a
new photoshop document and copying it from there and enlarging.
I also learned to use the lock button which made the image high definition.
Secondly, I learned how to rotate and arrange text in photoshop and how to
write text in photoshop by using the T button
