The document announces the school's first Family Blogging Month in November. It encourages family members to get involved by leaving comments on the second grade classroom blog to help develop students' writing skills. Family participation will showcase student accomplishments, give them a voice and audience, and create a digital portfolio while also improving digital literacy. Students with the most family comments will receive prizes. The document provides instructions for logging in to the classroom blog and guidelines for commenting, such as modeling quality writing and limiting personal details.

It is important to remember that our blog is aimed at second grade students. Although
we are encouraging adults to take part, your stories and connections should be geared
toward second graders.
The blog is a place to practice and improve the language arts skills. Please model quality
writing. Text-type writing like LOL or OMG is not allowed.
We try to limit personal information on the blog. Last names, and our school name are
details I prefer to leave out.
