1) All organization are directed to for provision of IS
456:2000 with amendment 3 should be followed for cement
concrete and RCC.
2) Non compliance of the provision shall be viewed
seriously.

• Why it is –
1) observing transparency of prices in a fair market
competition dealing with tenders relating to procurement.
• Action taken or remedies –
1) In a tender either the Indian agent on behalf of
principal/OEM or OEM itself can bid but both cannot bid
simultaneously for the same product in the same tender.
2) If an agent submits bid on behalf of the principal/OEM,
the same agent cannot submit a bid of another OEM in the same
tender for same product.
