  • 1. LESSON PLAN – DESCRIPTIVE WRITING TIME FOR THIS SESSION: 1 HOUR Objectives Planned Content Instructional Strategies/ Methodology Recap Test & Evaluate Home Assignment i) To make the students learn to write description on objects, places or persons. ii) To use exact and vivid words in their description. a)Focus/ Prime Skill: To establish the skill of being able to write passages of description. b) Materials: Chalk and board. PPT presentation c) Reference: Developing Writing Skills – Dr. Hyacinth Pink. Internet. a) Motivate: video b) Teach and Explain: how to develop the skill of descriptive writing with an example. c) Activity: give a list of clues to allow the reader to create a picture in their minds and ask them to frame sentences with it. d) Drill: a chit of papers is given to groups and let the Review- 1) What is descriptive writing? 2) What are the purposes of Descriptive writing? A small oral or written test to see whether what you taught has reached your leaner. Exchange papers and correct it in the class. All the students who get below 40% need a remedial class. Conduct a remedial class for these slow learners. Describe in a paragraph about a week-end spent with your family. Bring it to class and share your work with others.
