5) Pupil to explain the cause of tsunami.
6) To explain precautions against tsunami
7) To analyze the reasons about tsunami.
8) To restate the necessary precautions by the pupil who already understand about tsunami and its reasons.

Facts 1) Sea waves which can go very high are called tsunami
2) Tsunami is a Japanese word meaning labor waves
3) Tremors produced by intense earthquakes that occur in the sea create gigantic waves
4) Till it reaches the shores these are not noticed because they are only about a metre high
5) When they reached the shore, they become very gigantic and powerful
6) They travel at about 800 km per hour and rise up to 30
7) These tsunami waves that travel thousands of kilometers in the sea without causing any harm, cause
wide spread devastation when they reach and hit the shore.
8) The disappearance of indira point on the Andaman and Nicobar Island can be cited as an example for
this.
9) The tsunami took place in the Indian Ocean on 24th December 2004 is considered as one of the most
destructive in the history of the world.
10) People should be warned promptly about possible earth quakes which will help people to move to safari
places and reduce the loss of life.
11) In the earth Quakes prove areas, preference should be given to those construction technologies which can
with stand the impact of earth Quakes

 It is origin is on the western side of the Sumatra islands of
Indonesia.

Tsunamis
Sea waves which can go very high are called tsunami. Tsunamis is Japanese
word meaning labour waves. They travel at about 800 km per hour and rise up
to 30 meters high.
