Responsibilities as Relief Party Chief:
Ensure strict implementation and adherence to all companies Policies, QMS and HSE policies
and procedures in relevant manuals and other reference documents etc.

Ensuring thorough discussion and agreement with the crew management on all matters
pertaining to operations and logistics and regularly reporting same to the Client as
necessary.
Witnessing all recording instrument tests and analysis of results as specified in the contract
and ensuring that it is diligently carried out.
Ensured that the contractor’s equipment performed to acceptable standard by carrying out
pre-survey technical audit.
Monitor and supervise activities as it concerns the day to day running of the seismic crew.
Ensure amongst many that contractors strictly adhere to contractual specification as
deliverables must meet utmost standard as specified by the client/industry.
Ensured HSE standards are adhered to in all operational and support activities
Ensure Quality process implementation from project tender to delivery.
Prepare technical briefs when and were required.
Involved in Projects/Operations review.
Keep daily log of all activities, write daily, weekly and monthly reports
Ensure statutory regulations in the oil & gas company is observed to the later

Responsible for the safety of all recording workers and equipment.
Hold daily pep-talks, weekly and monthly meetings and document same
Manages over 500 field staffs by having a robust structure and optimal application of
leadership skills
Always strategize with upper management of best ways to foster industrial harmony
Responsible for quality data acquisition and quality control
Ensure optimal utilization of personnel and equipment at my disposal
Responsible for the day to day running of recording department
Carry out personnel and equipment audits for standardization

Responsible for the acquisition of quality data using Sercels 408xl and e428xl instrument
Implement standards in carrying out seismic survey and other work related activities
Carry out Start-up test with CSR and maintain an equipment data base
Carry out daily and monthly test of equipment. Isolate faulty once and facilitate their repairs
Planning of layout , line checking, loading and shooting programs to maximize production
Real time monitoring of recording operations and QC of all monitor records to ensure that
misfired, weak shots due to shallow depths, line breaks due to static, interference shots etc.
are all reported and retaken where necessary.
Responsible for the safety of field workers and equipment
Ensure no late closure/late arrival of field personnel by having a robust journey management
plan
Liaise with seismologist and drillers to ensure acquisition of quality data, an effectiveness in
swaths rolling over
Liaise with support departments (security, community affairs, transport etc) to maximize
