His full name is Narendra Damoderdas Modi.
Born on September 17, 1950.
Small district of Gujarat ,vadnagar.
He did his schooling from Vadnagar and obtained a master's
degree in Political Science from Gujarat University.
He became 16th Prime minister of India and 14th chief minister
of Gujarat.

5. Hobbies
He is very fond of watches and has a good collection of branded watches.
He loves photography. We surely cannot see any photography page of Mr.
Modi on networking sites, but he has surely organized a gallery of
photographs clicked by him.
He likes poetry. He enjoys and appreciates poems and he himself writes a
few of them for his own speech.
When it comes to his appearance, he is highly concerned about it. He is
very particular about his looks and thus has his very own style statement.
He is indeed technoholic . He is the most techno friendly politician of our
country and finds Social media to be the best place to maintain the essence
of democracy.

Elected as a student leader of Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and
played a prominent role in various social political movement in Gujarat.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a socio-cultural organization in social and
cultural development of India.
There he imbibed the spirit of nation-before-self and service- to-the-needy.
Within a year, he assumed the responsibility of the General Secretary of the
Gujarat unit.
Entered the mainstream politics by joining the BJP in 1987.
Became the CM of Gujarat in OCT,2001.
Active work in BJP.

8. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), is financial inclusion program
of Government of India which is applicable to 18 to 65 years age group ,that
aims to expand and make affordable access to financial services such as bank
accounts, remittances, credit, insurance and pensions.
He had announced this scheme on his first Independence Day speech on 15
August 2014.
Run by Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, under this
scheme 1.5 Crore (15 million) bank accounts were opened on inauguration day.
The Guinness Book of World Records recognised this achievement, stating: "The
most bank accounts opened in one week as a part of the financial inclusion
campaign is 18,096,130 and was achieved by the Government of India from
August 23 to 29, 2014".
9. Swachh Bharat Mission
Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) is a nation-wide campaign in India for the period
2014 to 2019 that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India's
cities, towns, and rural areas.
The campaign's official name is in Hindiand translates to "Clean India Mission" in
English.
The campaign was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi by
Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Run by the Government of India, the mission aims to achieve an "open-defecation
free" (ODF) India by 2 October 2019, the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma
Gandhi,[1] by constructing 90 million toilets in rural India at a projected cost of ₹1.96
lakh crore (US$30 billion).
Modi has called the campaign Satyagrah se Swachhagrah in reference to
Gandhi's Champaran Satyagrahalaunched on 10 April 1917.
10. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is an ambitious social welfare scheme of
Narendra Modi Government launched on 1st May 2016 from Ballia in Uttar
Pradesh.
Under the PM Ujjwala Yojana, the government aims to provide LPG connections
to BPL households in the country.
The scheme is aimed at replacing the unclean cooking fuels mostly used in the
rural India with the clean and more efficient LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas).
Empowering women and protecting their health.
Reducing the serious health hazards associated with cooking based on fossil fuel.
Reducing the number of deaths in India due to unclean cooking fuel.
11. Digital India
Digital India is a campaign launched by the Government of India to ensure the
Government's services are made available to citizens electronically by improved
online infrastructure and by increasing Internet connectivity or by making the country
digitally empowered in the field of technology.
The initiative includes plans to connect rural areas with high-speed internet networks.
Digital India consists of three core components: the development of secure and stable
digital infrastructure, delivering government services digitally, and universal digital
literacy.
Launched on 1 July 2015 by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is both enabler
and beneficiary of other key Government of India schemes, such as BharatNet, Make
in India, Startup India and Standup India, industrial
corridors, Bharatmala, Sagarmala, dedicated freight corridors, UDAN-RCS and E-
Kranti.
At the launch ceremony of Digital India Week by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in
Delhi on 1 July 2015,[35] top CEOs from India and abroad committed to invest ₹224.5
lakh crore(US$3.1 trillion) towards this initiative.

'Modinomics : The award has been conferred biennially to individuals who have

PM Modi honoured with UN Champions of the Earth Award 2018 : The
award celebrates exceptional figures from the public and private sectors and from
civil society, whose actions have had a transformative positive impact on the
environment.
PM Modi conferred with 'Grand Collar of the State of Palestine : The Grand
Collar is highest order of Palestine given to foreign dignitaries such as Kings,
Heads of State or Government and persons of similar rank.

In a country where nepotism and dynastic politics are the norm, Modis family (he
is the middle child of nine siblings) is invisible. One younger brother works in the
state government but "he has never come to my office in the last 10 years," Modi
says. "This is the discipline in my family, and I feel proud of it.
