1. SWACHH BHARAT MISSION
A clean India would be the best gift India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi while celebrating his 150 birth
anniversary in 2019, Swachh Bharat Mission is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pet project that seeks
to create a 'Clean India'.When he started this project he himself took a broom and cleaned the littered
place in New Delhi .This was done just to show that it is responsible of every citizens to make a
surrounding clean. By inviting people to participate in the drive, the Swachh Bharat Mission turned into
a National Movement. In this people large number ofpeople joined and cooperated him in completing
Mission. From government officials to jawans, bollywood actors to the sportspersons, industrialists to
spiritual leaders, all have lined up for the noble work. Millions of people across the country have been
day after day joining the cleanliness initiatives of the government departments, NGOs and local
community centres to make India clean. Organising frequent cleanliness campaigns to spreading
awareness about hygiene through plays and music is also being widely carried out across the nation.

2. We must develop a sense of responsibility amongst ourselves to keep our surroundings clean and
hygienic. . Swachh Bharat Mission is not only limited to Modi’s project,In fact it should be the goal and
target of every citizen of India because we are the only culprit who made our mother land dirty in any
sense and we should be responsible for making clean and healthy surroundings so that we can survive
on it and leave a place for the generation to come.
If we can’t help in large extent, it is not necessary to do the same. If we ourselves understand the
benefits ofit and practice in our day -2-day life, the results will itself turn out to be large. What happens
most is that we organise campaigns and teach other in a large scale about maintaining Clean etc.,but
we fail to practice it in our daily life. There’s no benefitof doing the same. We must first do ,what we are
teaching, as we come to know what will be the immediate result after practising the same and we can
teach it on a better way.
