1. Risk Assessment Sheet
Programme title:“Turn It Around” - Sub Focus
Writer: Tyler Radcliffe
Producer: Tyler Radcliffe
Director: Tyler Radcliffe
Date: 15/01/14
Major issues:
People tripping over on site and just generally being hurt from silly accidents.
Using the steady cam at pace could lead to a lack of concentration on where
the operator is going, which could lead to tripping over and damaging the
camera and equipment.
Equipment being broken due to lack of care or bad weather.
Filming in a public place could be a nuisance to passers-by.
During the scenes filmed near roads there is always the chance of a road
accident with people stepping out accidently into roads.
Solutions:
Making sure personnel on site know where they are meant to be and when,
which will reduce rushing around and keep falls and trips to a minimum.
Having one eye on the camera and one eye on where the operator is going
will significantly aid the chances of falling/ damaging the equipment.
Making sure that where appropriate weather shields (umbrellas) are used to
ensure the camera and equipment isn’t damaged or ruined by the rain.
Being aware of passers-by by always keeping an eye on who is around, and if
necessary stopping filming until they are clear of the site to minimize
disruption to their day and to the filming.
Ensuring that all present are constantly aware of the proximity of the road and
are always wary of the cars going by.
