Some of these things I’m going to talk about you’ll see reflected in some of the other guiding principles.
If people avoid dealing with you because of the way you interact with them, you (and we) have a problem.
It’s important that you actually enjoy working and interacting with everyone here—that goes for co-workers AND your boss.
We’re not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. Acknowledging this and working to fix things is one thing. Trash-talking the company to colleagues (or even worse, to customers) is another.
There’s a saying: if you’re going to complain, complain up, and complain constructively.
If you’re identifying a problem, identify a solution as well.
How does one show curiousity, usually?
By asking questions—lots of questions.
This is extremely important, and will become more so going forward.
If you don’t know where you stand EVERY DAY in terms of your performance, your manager isn’t doing their job. But you need to hold them to this task.
