Causes Of Robert Charles Riot
There were many social and political factors that led to the Robert Charles riot of 1900. Robert
Charles was a black man from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a very quiet but hard working man.
Charles began to listen and follow the teachings of Bishop Henry M. Turner. Bishop Henry
preached to his black followers that they should defend themselves with weapons and shield
themselves from the people who wanted to attack the black people. He wanted the African American
community to fight back against discrimination. He also followed Bishop Henry's emigration
movement; This was the theory that all African Americans should go back to the Africa in order to
live a better and fair life. On July 23,1990 Robert Charles and his friends were confronted by 2
police officers for being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They did not appreciate Charles and his actions; this lead to a riot. A large white mob was formed
where the two police men were injured wanted to end Robert Charles's life because of what he has
done. They wanted to be killed without being given a trial. The mob consisted of people from
Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, and other surround states. On July 23, word had gotten out that Charles
was killed. This was not the case and Charles was very much still alive and hiding from the police.
Many African Americans who were in trouble, were running and hiding from the police at this time.
Many people mistook Charles for those people. After the people found out that Charles was not
dead, they were angry again. The mob roamed through the city trashing and terrorizing New
Orleans's African American community. They stormed the African American business district only
to find it deserted. Over the course of three days, the angry mob took the innocent lives of several
African Americans and injured several more. By having these riots, they people hoped to restore
some justice in the

The Fairy Tale Of Cinderella As A Love Story
So, we all know of the fictional fairy tale of Cinderella, but what if we changed the facts around in a
new order, changing the different characters rolls in the story and their apparel. Most look at this
story as a love story, but what if we changed the story to a new conspiracy of fiction. How will these
changes affect the outcome of this fairy tale? Well let's find out.
Once upon a time there was a young girl named Emma who was a kind hearted young girl, who
loved the company of her animals so much she could find comfort during difficult times. Especially
when her mother Ava passed away in dreary times. Her father William was a traveling man who did
his do dilatants of hard work and because of this fact, he was unable to be of comfort to her.
However, Emma and her father had a very strong relationship, and she understood the reason of his
long travels. She started to implode, for she no company half the time and the daily chores were
finished, she would find herself imagining a reality where Ava was still alive, and they would
convers and enjoy a hot cup of tea, where used to together by the fire place. Then she is forced to
realize she is only imagining memories. Following these episodes Emma also started to resent her
father for always being gone on is travels of business, that sometimes she caught herself saying
most unbelievable things in the back of her mind.
William, soon remarried to a very sweet and kind–hearted widow Isabella with two very hateful
daughters Sophia and Abigail, who treated her very poorly with little to no respect for just how
much self–sacrifice she gave for their wellbeing. For instance, Sophia and Abigail always had the
best dresses and apparel while she would take the second best. It finally came time for Emma to
meet her new step–mother and sisters, when her father arrived back home from a long trip. Emma
was in no state of mind nor was she ready to let somebody else take her mothers place in her heart.
Following these events William was leaving on another business trip when he suddenly had a severe
heart attack passing away instantly. This was just three years after the passing of her mother, so
Emma was not the same person giving in to Sophia and Abigail's bossy and

Mental Health Care Tv Language Analysis
The Independent and The Telegraph both have produced two articles that strongly connect to each
other. Will Gore and The Telegraph View both express their opinions as well as the experience that
Prince Harry had with mental health through their writing. Article one by The Telegraph View talks
about the amount of people who have to suffer in silence with their mental health issues and
circumstances just like Prince harry did when his mother tragically passed away. It shows us and
makes us aware about how much service and help it required to help people as it takes time to fully
help someone with this serious health matter. Article two by Will Gore is about how someone who is
well known in the public eye has experience the relatable issue of ... Show more content on

First piece of word choice used by The Telegraph View I have chosen to write about is 'stigma'
which has connatations of branded, label, shame and disgrace. This shows us that people dont know
the true meaning of mental health and think firstly of the sterotypes that come with it like its just all
based around the same thing which has made is gain a very negative label or brand which is not the
case and also it gives an impression that people dont really think about mental health that much and
dont take it as serious as it should be taken. 'rife' has connotations of common, global and normal.
This shows us that having anxiety is normal and common to many people around the world and is
not unusual as many people will have or will suffer from this during their lifetime. Finally my last
example of word choice is 'disorientates' which has connotations of lost and confused. This shows
us that the writer is describing technology in the present day as they think it is becoming more
useless as it can be confusing for people and harder to learn about and use especially in everyday
life and work enviroments. The word choice I have metioned show us the impact of mental health
not just to patients but others and what they think about it and also that technology is becoming
much hard and causes

The Crime Of The Police
The police were not sure what crime had been committed, other than probably disturbing the peace.
They huddled for a while discussing what options were available for them at this time. When they
asked if anyone had been threatened they all assured them, that they felt sympathy but not like they
were in jeopardy. She had no weapon with her, there was no real crime other than disturbing the
peace and public disobedience. So it fell to Jim as to whether they were going to press charges at
this time. Jim, after seeing it all play out, had decided that jail wasn 't where this woman needed to
be. Her place was in the hospital. They took the handcuffs off of Katherine. Replacing them with

She wasn't even sure where her mother worked, and she had no idea about allergies and medical

She was told they would call one of them back as soon as possible. "Once the patient has arrived

Charles Robert Darwin's Theory Of Natural Selection
Charles Robert Darwin, born on the 12th of February in 1809. Born in the tiny merchant town of
Shrewsbury, England. Darwin was a naturalist and biologist known for his theory of evolution and
the process of natural selection. Darwin's theory of evolution meant that species survived through a
process called natural selection, where those that successfully adapted, or evolved, to meet the
changing requirements of their habitat. He studied birds, plants, and fossils. He noticed similarities
among the species all over the globe, along with variations based on specific locations, leading him
to believe that species we know today has gradually evolved from common ancestors. In 1858,
Darwin publicly introduced his revolutionary theory of evolution

A Short Story : Robert Warren Poppy, Charles Warren Tupper
My grandfather, Charles Warren Tupper, who I call Poppy, was born in Arlington, Massachusetts, on
September 8, 1941. He lived in a farmhouse in New Hampshire with his mom, dad, sister, and his
grandmother, when he was young. He is from the end of the Silent Generation, right before the
Baby Boomer generation began. Children born during the Silent Generation are from a time of
economic instability, and therefore are comprised of generally hard working people. Poppy is a
compassionate, loving grandfather with a good sense of humor. He, along with his wife, my mimi,
enjoy telling stories with the family during meals. He believes storytelling is important because,
"you are relating to others the importance of human experiences and condition." You are able to
learn from other people's stories. He is very important to me, and he has a number of stories he has
shared with me that I enjoy hearing time and time again, and many new ones too. Some of the
stories include how he met my mimi, the Wizbang story, and panic on the Kancamagus. Stories like
these, teach us about accomplishments, mistakes, and general history.
One of my favorite stories he has shared with me took place in 1959, and is the story of how he met
my mimi. He was eighteen years old in West Ossipee, New Hampshire, at a restaurant called
Greenacres. Earlier that day he had seen my mimi, along with her sister, at a small carnival. My

Short Story : ' Hello ! '
Rob punched in the numbers and in a second had it on speaker phone. Melanie could listen and take
notes if she wished. He didn't feel confident that he would be able to remember everything. The
phone started to ring and it was playing a tune he did not know, but it was quite different from
anything that he listened to. After the third ring, he heard when they picked up. "Hello?" was the
quick response.
Robert tried to sound as mature as he possibly could as he asked, "May I speak to Rachel."
"This is Rachel," said the voice over the phone, the voice, pleasant, lilting with a gentle accent.
Melanie blinked solemnly, as Robert continued on with the conversation.

Will you meet me? Pick the time and the location. It is imperative that you feel comfortable."
Melanie frowned, deep in thought, could she meet this aunt tonight? She glanced over at Rob to
determine if he was listening.
He was watching her intently with his seawater eyes and she felt her nerves loosening. Laying his
hands over her left hand he rested it on her leg. Stroking the smooth skin, she would have purred if
she had been a cat. He was a miracle balm to her. He nodded, smiling. He mouthed, "fantastic!" then
he winked. She was feeling less than confident, but he certainly soothed her ruffled nerves.
She once again placed the call on speaker and laid the phone against their hands, "I am not sure
about tonight. School tomorrow, and Curfew's not far off."
Of course she knew she was babbling. Babbling seemed to be all she could muster. Her hand under
Roberts was becoming overly warm, yet she dare not move it. She needed his touch, his calm
support. She just hoped she didn't burst into flame.
Rachel swallowed convulsively, aware of the sound that she felt was probably heard on the other
side of the line. "Maybe even here? You're welcome to come here, otherwise, I totally understand, I
just need to meet you in person, tonight if possible." A giggle formed in Melanie 's throat and
escaped when she tried to make arrangements. She pressed mute and asked Robert if he would be
willing meet her, and if he agreed to visit, tonight. "It isn't that late here,

Book Review for Hair's "Carnival of Fury" Essay
William Ivy Hair., Carnival of Fury: Robert Charles and the New Orleans Race Riot of 1900
(Louisiana State University Press, 1976).
William Ivy Hair's Carnival of Fury elaborates on the life of Robert Charles and the events leading
New Orleans to the race riot of 1900. Hair quoted newspaper articles printed during Charles' life to
include society's reaction and provide a white–Southern perspective of African Americans. Hair's
original objective was to uncover what Charles experienced during his youth, and discover what
prompted him to shoot innocent people from the second floor of 1208 Saratoga St. on July 27, 1900.

How Is Princess Diana A Hero
Many consider Princess Diana to have been the most favored members of the British Monarch
(biography.com editors 1). She is the former wife of Prince Charles, and the mother to Princes
William and Harry. Her charitable work with children in impoverished countries has formed her
reputation as a role model for the people of Britain and the rest of the world. She traveled across the
world helping those who are sick and injured. Her work in Africa with the children injured by
landmines brought her into the global spotlight (Wexford 3). Princess Diana was more than just a
public figure and royal, she was a loving person who brought light to social issues and cared for
those who could not fend for themselves. A hero as defined in Webster's Dictionary is a person who
"a person admired for achievements or noble qualities" or "one who shows great courage."
However, a hero is more than a person's achievements. A hero is a person who is philanthropic,
generous, and kind. Heros fight for those who can not fight for themselves, and do not judge those
who they are fighting for. They are charitable in ways other than donating money, they give their
time and effort in order to make the lives of others more pleasant. Heros display bravery. They are
willing to go into a dangerous situation to help others that have been affected. Social pressures and
judgements do not affect a hero's willingness to help others, they are willing to push through what
others say in order to complete the tasks

On The Roof Of The World By Sir Charles G. D. Roberts
1) I believe that there are many ways that the author has chosen to set–up a man and animal as
competitors in the story "On The Roof Of The World" by Sir Charles G. D. Roberts.
One of the reasons that the author has set up a man and an animal as competitors is that unlike
normal circumstances where mankind is on top of the food chain, higher that every other living
thing known. In this short story, the man and the polar bear are on approximately the same level of
the food chain. As the bear is equipped with claws, the man evens himself out with the spear he had
fashioned himself. The author seems write this to portray his question of, is humankind more
superior to other living species when having to live in almost the exact same conditions in which the
animals live in? Another way it thinks that the author has set–up a man and an animal as competitors
is to show how similar things a human would do like an animal if put in such a situation such as
high winds, predators, and a constant danger of frostbite, a human would only care about three
things, food, shelter and water like an animal. With the only source of food, a human would resort to
savage ways so similar to the ways of a polar bear as the story states, "without an instant 's
hesitation the man hurled his spear" (p. 164) and when "with a growl of rage, the bear tore it loose
and charged upon the man" (p. 164). This shows that when a human is exposed to this type of
environment, they would kill for food without

Charles Darwin And Robert Darwin's Theory Of Social Darwinism
During the 19th century a new theory emerged in Europe and The United States. This theory was
based on the Charles Darwin book "Origins of Species", a book about evolution through a process
called natural selection. Darwin introduced an idea of natural selection in biology but Herbert
Spencer was the first who applied it in society and called it "survival of the fittest".
Charles Robert Darwin was born in February 1809 in Shrewsbury. His grandfather, Erasmus Darwin
and father Robert Darwin were physician and interested in evolution. Erasmus Darwin believed that
species had evolved from an original form. Darwin was the one that proved his grandfathers theory.
In November 1859, Charles Darwin published "Origin of Species. This book revealed an unspoken

He was considered to be one of the first sociologists. Spencer was the one to introduce to the world
a new idea called Social Darwinism. The people that followed this idea were called Social
Darwinists. He took the theory of natural selection and applied it to society, also named it "survival
of the fittest" (Social Darwinism 23, 24). Spencer thought that society was in a "competitive
struggle where only those with strong character should survive, or the society will weaken" (Reich
56). He associated the term "survival of the fittest" with the social Darwinism. Survival of the fittest
was a term to describe the competition between individuals. According to Spencer, people are
divided as the "fit" and the "unfit". Spencer considered the wealthy and powerful people are the "fit"
and the poor people the "unfit". He truly believed that in order for society to evolve, the "unfit"
should die. ? Another Social Darwinist was William Graham Sumner. He believed that "The
millionaires were a product of natural selection." So, social Darwinism was becoming an idea
followed by many people and causing major consequences (Social Darwinism

Princess Diana was born on July 1, 1961 in Sandringham, England under the name of Diana Frances
Spencer. When she was young, she developed a very strong love for animals. She enjoyed spending
her free time taking care of and looking after hurt animals. She developed a very strong love for
those in need. This comes to show us the woman that she became. Princess Diana was a very caring
woman, and was always looked up to those around her as an idol.
When Diana was nine years old her parents were divorced, and her father won custody of the
children. Princess Diana was homeschooled for the first few years of her life, and when she reached
the age of nine she was enrolled into Riddlesworth Hall, an all girls boarding school. When Diana
was twelve, she moved to West Heath Girls' School where her sisters attended, and later failed her
exams and did not graduate with what we call a diploma. Diana did not return to school, instead she
began forming her own charities and started working with other charities. Some of the charities that
she was involved in include: "the homeless and starving, the children with AIDS, the battered

The Doctrine Of Predestination By Robert Charles Sproul
Robert Charles Sproul, American Calvinist theologian, is co–pastor of Saint Andrew's Chapel in
Sanford Florida, founder and chairman of Ligonier Ministries and author of more than one hundred
books. Hence, discovering his written opinion on the subject of predestination should not be a
surprise. This author claims to "love the doctrine of predestination because it comforts and
underlines the extent to which God has gone in our behalf. It is a theology that begins and ends with
grace". Hence, Sproul demonstrates a discernment of predestination which readers to experience
John Calvin's opinions through a modern lens. Along the way, the evaluation may reveal unknown
or overlooked characteristics. Resultantly, this review will conduct a short summary of Chosen by

which the work can be evaluated.
Summary
Sproul begins his book with an inviting conversation of the common items identifying Americans.
Readers are expected to identify with the idea of baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet as
American. Then, readers are warned that the author plans to brake the American motto of "not
discussing religion or politics". Afterward, the text shifts to consider the topic of predestination
directly. Readers are told that arguing about predestination is nearly uncontrollable.
The variety of abounding opinions verify a couple of certainties; the doctrine of predestination is

However, Lady Diana took an interest in music and dancing. This interest never became a passion
that she strongly pursued, but she did find another passion. Lady Diana discovered that she loved
kids. She moved to London after attending finishing school at Institut Alpin Videmanette for a term.
Soon after, she started to work around and with children. For a short time, she had a job babysitting
an American child (The British Monarchy). Not long after that, Lady Diana became a kindergarten
teacher at Young England School (Bio).
Throughout her life, Diana was surrounded by royalty. She was reported to have played with Prince
Andrew and Prince Edward when her family was renting Queen Elizabeth II's estate, Park House.
Diana was reacquainted in 1977 with Prince Charles, older brother of Prince Andrew and Prince
Edward. Prince Charles was thirteen years older than Lady Diana. At the time, Prince Charles was
dating Diana's older sister, Lady Sarah. During this time, it was said that the woman Princes Charles
can marry has to fulfill the following criteria: she should be a member of the Church of England,

Characteristics Of Princess Diana
Abstract
Princess Diana was known as the people's princess; but Diana was much more than that. Diana was
an activist, humanitarian, public servant and a leader. Princess Diana's entire adult life was focused
on helping those less fortunate, those suffering from debilitating diseases and offering aide to people
from third world countries. Diana didn't just contribute time but focused on attracting the attention
of the media which brought spectators and in return brought followers. These followers were willing
to contribute time and resources to hundreds of causes Princess Diana found important. "Diana had
great charisma that she spread to all the people she met. In the developing countries she was able to
empower others by improving their self esteem" (Gram 2013). Princess Diana led a life of giving
and through many years of personal grief and loss followed by a tragic death the world has suffered
a great loss as well. Fortunately, Diana was such an impactful leader that to this day there are
memorial funds set up in Princess Diana's name to assist with many of the charities that the Princess
adored. Because of the hours and back breaking work the Princess put in to these charities, they still
reap benefits from the followers of the people's leader, Princess Diana.
Princess Diana; a Leader A leader can possess many unique qualities. Merriam Webster defines a
leader as someone who guides others. A quick google search provides a definition of a person who
commands a group. Princess Diana was known to compassionately guide people to service. Without
instructing, verbalizing or motioning Diana was able to influence the way the world felt about many
different causes. Princess Diana was able to change the world's views and perceptions about
contagious diseases, third world countries and many different world crises. Diana was passionate
about all of the charities and work performed and was never fearful to be the first to volunteer.
Diana did not discriminate in any charity, "she worked for the homeless, youth, drug addicts, and the
elderly" (thefamouspeople.com 2013).

Diana: Queen of Hearts
Princess Diana was the most cherished and beloved royal family member of all time. Many may
think this was because of her elegance and beauty; after all, she was a fashion icon. However, her
vulnerability was the source of her charm. She connected with ordinary people because she dealt
with a lifetime of struggles, which she overcame briefly before her death at the young age of thirty–
six.
Diana Spencer was born on July 1, 1964 in Sandringham, Norfolk in the United Kingdom. Her
name was one of nobility, and it would one day become one of royalty (Childhood and Teenage
Years). The future Princess of Wales was born into a privileged family, though not a family immune
to suffering. When Diana was just eight years old, her parents separated and began a nasty divorce.

cleansed her life and eliminated those whom she perceived only brought her more struggles. This
new era caused her to seek comfort from her late father's wife, Raine, with whom the princess had
not always been on the best terms. Raine advised Diana to mend her relationship with Charles for
the sake of their children. Taking this advice, the once–married pair ended their toxic press battles
and began to cooperate. Best of all, perhaps, was Diana's newfound love. She met Dr. Hasnat Khan,
a cardiologist, when visiting a patient under his care. The two fell in love, though Khan's hatred for
publicity caused Diana to keep him out of the press. She studied his Muslim culture and even
contemplated converting to his religion, but still his family would never accept her. When Dr. Khan
ended their relationship, Diana was absolutely devastated. The new life for which she had worked so
hard was shattered by heartbreak

Charles Murray And Robert B. Murray
Being two of the most respected and qualified academicians on public policy, Charles Murray, and
Robert B. Reich have never been short of making controversial and contradicting statements which
arguably serves only their interest of getting an audience. Public policy as it is has been subjected to
lots of changes throughout the history leading to different reactions and opinions from different
individuals. "What it means to be a Libertarian–A Personal Interpretation" written by Charles
Murray, explicitly describes how the society should view the government by claiming it can help in
achieving overall happiness and allowing members of the society to have a right to individual
freedom when coping with the changes brought by public policy. On the other hand, Robert B.
Reich's "Aftershock the next Economy and America's Future" talks about overcoming our problems
by keeping a tier of classes. This paper discusses the contradicting views of these two writers. There
are several essential differences in Reich's and Murray's points of view. According to Reich,
problems in our societies are caused by poor structures. He argues that increasing of wealth in the
society works against the middle class since it forces them to be poor. He talks of keeping a tier of
classes which includes the middle and rich class of which if not the middle class will not be able to
sustain the economy. Reich describes the great depression of 1929 and explains that the major cause
was due to the disparity

The Life Of Charles Robert Darwin 's Theory Of Biological...
EVOLUTION RESEARCH PAPER
Bushra Alkarmi – 9th grade
I. Introduction
Charles Robert Darwin (born 1809; died 1882) was a British naturalist, geologist, and biologist.
Darwin defined evolution as "descent with modification" based on the idea that species change over
time giving rise to new species that share a common ancestor. In 1837–1839, Darwin proposed the
theory of biological evolution by natural selection. Because resources are limited in nature,
organisms with heritable traits that favor survival and reproduction will tend to leave more offspring
than their peers, causing the traits to increase in frequency over generations. The mechanism that
Darwin proposed for evolution is natural selection.

What is the big bang theory?
Before the big bang, scientists believe the entire massiveness of the visible universe, including all its
matter and radiation, was compressed into a hot, dense mass just a few millimeters across. The
explosion happened quickly in a very short time, the universe expanded from a tiny concentrated
matter to an astronomical scope.
B. Creationists view
Many religious people, including religious scientists believed that god created the universe and the
process that causes evolution which leads to the creation of the solar system. Yet they both have one
thing in common: no matter what time the universe was created, they believe that god created it in
six days and the same way that it is now
C. Islamic view Muslim scholars stated that the details mentioned with regards to the Big Bang
theory go identically hand in hand with the description of the creation of the universe in verse 30 of
chapter 21 of the Quran "Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth
were a joined entity, then We separated them, and made from water every living thing? Then will
they not believe?" (Quran 21:30). The theory also matches what is mentioned in the verse that the

1980s Women's Fashion
The unique fashion of the 1980s made an impression in its time in such a way that it continues to

Princess Diana As A Hero
Princess Diana is considered to be the most favored member of the Royal Family in the history of
the British Monarchy (biography.com editors 1). She is the former wife of Prince Charles, and the
mother of Princes William and Harry. Her charitable work with impoverished children has formed
her reputation as a role model for the people of Britain and much of the world. Much of Diana's life
has been devoted to traveling the world to help others. Her work in Africa with the children injured
by landmines brought her into the global spotlight (Wexford 3). Princess Diana was more than just a
public figure and royal, she was a loving person who brought light to social issues and cared for
those who are destitute. A hero, as defined in Webster's Online Dictionary, is a person who "a person
admired for achievements or noble qualities" or "one who shows great courage." However, a hero is
not just a person with outstanding achievements. A hero is a person who is philanthropic, generous,
and kind. Heros fight for those who cannot fight for themselves, and do not judge those who they
are fighting for. They are charitable in ways other than donating money, they give their time and
effort in order to make the lives of others more pleasant. Heros display bravery, as they are willing
to go into a dangerous situation to help others that have been aggrieved. Social pressures and
judgements do not affect a hero's willingness to help others, and they are willing to push through

Princess Diana Of Wales : Bulimia
Princess Diana of Wales: Bulimia "I had bulimia for a number of years. And that's like a secret
disease. You inflict it upon yourself because...you don't think you're worthy...you fill your stomach
up...and it gives you a feeling of comfort...it's like having a pair of arms around you," Princess
Diana explains about bulimia (Frey). Bulimia is a disability often misinterpreted as a form of
anorexia, and people think they can identify a bulimic by their looks. Bulimia is when someone
binges or overeats and then purges the food by vomiting or other methods like exercising. Some
bulimics use laxatives or medications that encourage vomiting (Ambrose 18). Bulimia comes from
the Greek words bous, which means "ox", and limos, which means "hunger" (54). Put that together,
and it is "ox hunger" in which describes bulimic actions. Also, it is difficult for doctors to diagnose
bulimia because most bulimics look normal or overweight to obese (34). Bulimia has many physical
and emotional effects on its sufferers. One symptom is salivary gland swelling from vomiting. A
person can have a hoarse voice (Silverthorne 22), sore throat (Ambrose 35), and have sores in the
mouth from the frequent purging. They damage their teeth and gums from vomiting (Silverthorne
21). Some have bruises, sores, and calluses on their fingers from gagging themselves or scraping
them against their teeth (22). Further ado, bulimics tend to binge eat (Ambrose 8), as well as go
through periods without eating (32).

Others believe in Darwin's theory of natural selection, where it all started about five millions year
ago.
It is said that there were once apes, different to the known species of the 20th century that advanced
genetically as time progressed. Beliefs are held that these apes or Hominines evolved becoming
bipedal causing them to walk up right, and their babies to be twisted and turned to pass through the
birth canal. Overtime their cognitive abilities allowed them to generate new ideas to build new tools
that also increased survival and reproduction. Darwin believed that humans, apes and chimpanzees
all share a common ancestry. "The recent sequencing of the gorilla, chimpanzee and bonobo
genomes confirms that supposition and provides a clearer view of how we are connected: chimps
and bonobos in particular take pride of place as our nearest living relatives, sharing approximately
99 percent of our DNA, with gorillas trailing at 98 percent" (Wong, 2014). Fossil records today
strengthen Darwin's theory as results concluded that the phylogenic of species and ontogeny of
humans evolved from an organism known as the great ape or Hominid– a large tailless primitive
that lived 7 million years ago.
Darwin's theory of evolution contains some basic biological principles as it relates to natural
selection and contributes to survival, these includes:

Darwin believed all plants and animals had changed from past families by natural selection. An
example of natural selection would be the different coloration between beetles (Understanding
Evolution, 2008). There are two different colored beetles, one is brown and the other is green. Since
the environment cannot have an overpopulation, the green beetles will get consumed by birds and
not be able to survive and reproduce as much as the brown beetles. The brown beetles have
offspring because the trait has a genetic basis. When they produce more offspring, they become
more common in the environment and if this process continues, the population of beetles will be
mostly brown. Certain characteristics are innate within a species which help them reproduce and
survive more than other species with no such inborn characteristics. These species will become
more favorable and most common in the population. Darwin's theory of natural selection favors
organisms that are prone to adapting well to the environment, it makes it easy to pass on their genes
stabilizing the population and making it stronger. Species begin to die out according to, what
Darwin calls, survival of the fittest.
Darwin's "Survival of the Fittest" theory is a natural process resulting in the development of a
species best adapted to the environment. This is when the species only the species that are best
adapted the environment and its conditions are able to survive and reproduce. If they are not

The arrangement of the essay is clear and organized, making it simple for the reader to follow. Perry
provides background information, states his claim, presents evidence, and suggests solutions. He
does successfully present a thorough, convincing argument supporting why college graduates are
important factors in our society's success. The appeal to reader's emotions is also a very effective
technique. Gaining audience support increases the likelihood of "winning" the argument. However,
the opposing viewpoint is criticized throughout the essay's entirety; it is these deceitful
representations that cause the most damage to Perry's argument.
Appealing to the reader's emotions is the most effective strategy used in the essay. The first sentence
Perry's audience reads begins with, "Bell Curve author Charles Murray..." (625). He expects the
audience to be familiar with Charles Murray and his scandalous book that caused public outrage and
controversy in 1994. Relating intelligence levels to race and social class sparked a variety of
feelings and opinions among people. Perry evokes the reader's emotions by including this memory.
If it arouses anger, the reader is more likely to evaluate Murray's opinions critically. Presenting a
negative circumstance around the opponent undermines their argument, or "poisons the well". By
starting the essay this way, it

Charles Darwin 's ' Inherit The Wind By Jerome Lawrence...
Charles Darwin once wrote "I am not apt to follow blindly the lead of other men," a bold statement
that epitomized his experimental and revolutionary approach in science during his lifetime. Darwin's
controversial Theory of Evolution caused a paradigm shift in the centrally fundamentalist society of
his time. Inherit The Wind by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee was loosely based on the
historical Scopes Trial in 1925; the trial exemplified conflicting beliefs between evolution and
creationism. In the play two men represent two opposing forces at large– lawyer Henry Drummond
advocates for man's right to think and "right to be wrong." while politician Matthew Harrison Brady
complies to the Bible's teachings or "Living Truth of the
Scriptures." Comparatively, Drummond and Brady are analogous in that they are both respectable,
well–known, and fairly confident men willing to fight for their causes in valiant manners.
Drummond and Brady similarly hold notable positions in their society, however, essentially serve as
character foils to each other, varying greatly in differences between their own set of values,
intentions, and mindsets. Drummond and Brady both yield adamant positions in the case.
Drummond serves to defend Bertram Cates, the underdog, while Brady volunteers as prosecutor to
stand up against the "moral injustices done unto the innocent children of Hillsboro." Nevertheless,
their mentalities in participating in the case prove to be different as Drummond displays

Causes Of Robert Charles Riot

  • 1. Causes Of Robert Charles Riot There were many social and political factors that led to the Robert Charles riot of 1900. Robert Charles was a black man from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a very quiet but hard working man. Charles began to listen and follow the teachings of Bishop Henry M. Turner. Bishop Henry preached to his black followers that they should defend themselves with weapons and shield themselves from the people who wanted to attack the black people. He wanted the African American community to fight back against discrimination. He also followed Bishop Henry's emigration movement; This was the theory that all African Americans should go back to the Africa in order to live a better and fair life. On July 23,1990 Robert Charles and his friends were confronted by 2 police officers for being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They did not appreciate Charles and his actions; this lead to a riot. A large white mob was formed where the two police men were injured wanted to end Robert Charles's life because of what he has done. They wanted to be killed without being given a trial. The mob consisted of people from Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, and other surround states. On July 23, word had gotten out that Charles was killed. This was not the case and Charles was very much still alive and hiding from the police. Many African Americans who were in trouble, were running and hiding from the police at this time. Many people mistook Charles for those people. After the people found out that Charles was not dead, they were angry again. The mob roamed through the city trashing and terrorizing New Orleans's African American community. They stormed the African American business district only to find it deserted. Over the course of three days, the angry mob took the innocent lives of several African Americans and injured several more. By having these riots, they people hoped to restore some justice in the ... • 3. The Fairy Tale Of Cinderella As A Love Story So, we all know of the fictional fairy tale of Cinderella, but what if we changed the facts around in a new order, changing the different characters rolls in the story and their apparel. Most look at this story as a love story, but what if we changed the story to a new conspiracy of fiction. How will these changes affect the outcome of this fairy tale? Well let's find out. Once upon a time there was a young girl named Emma who was a kind hearted young girl, who loved the company of her animals so much she could find comfort during difficult times. Especially when her mother Ava passed away in dreary times. Her father William was a traveling man who did his do dilatants of hard work and because of this fact, he was unable to be of comfort to her. However, Emma and her father had a very strong relationship, and she understood the reason of his long travels. She started to implode, for she no company half the time and the daily chores were finished, she would find herself imagining a reality where Ava was still alive, and they would convers and enjoy a hot cup of tea, where used to together by the fire place. Then she is forced to realize she is only imagining memories. Following these episodes Emma also started to resent her father for always being gone on is travels of business, that sometimes she caught herself saying most unbelievable things in the back of her mind. William, soon remarried to a very sweet and kind–hearted widow Isabella with two very hateful daughters Sophia and Abigail, who treated her very poorly with little to no respect for just how much self–sacrifice she gave for their wellbeing. For instance, Sophia and Abigail always had the best dresses and apparel while she would take the second best. It finally came time for Emma to meet her new step–mother and sisters, when her father arrived back home from a long trip. Emma was in no state of mind nor was she ready to let somebody else take her mothers place in her heart. Following these events William was leaving on another business trip when he suddenly had a severe heart attack passing away instantly. This was just three years after the passing of her mother, so Emma was not the same person giving in to Sophia and Abigail's bossy and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Mental Health Care Tv Language Analysis The Independent and The Telegraph both have produced two articles that strongly connect to each other. Will Gore and The Telegraph View both express their opinions as well as the experience that Prince Harry had with mental health through their writing. Article one by The Telegraph View talks about the amount of people who have to suffer in silence with their mental health issues and circumstances just like Prince harry did when his mother tragically passed away. It shows us and makes us aware about how much service and help it required to help people as it takes time to fully help someone with this serious health matter. Article two by Will Gore is about how someone who is well known in the public eye has experience the relatable issue of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First piece of word choice used by The Telegraph View I have chosen to write about is 'stigma' which has connatations of branded, label, shame and disgrace. This shows us that people dont know the true meaning of mental health and think firstly of the sterotypes that come with it like its just all based around the same thing which has made is gain a very negative label or brand which is not the case and also it gives an impression that people dont really think about mental health that much and dont take it as serious as it should be taken. 'rife' has connotations of common, global and normal. This shows us that having anxiety is normal and common to many people around the world and is not unusual as many people will have or will suffer from this during their lifetime. Finally my last example of word choice is 'disorientates' which has connotations of lost and confused. This shows us that the writer is describing technology in the present day as they think it is becoming more useless as it can be confusing for people and harder to learn about and use especially in everyday life and work enviroments. The word choice I have metioned show us the impact of mental health not just to patients but others and what they think about it and also that technology is becoming much hard and causes ... They huddled for a while discussing what options were available for them at this time. She had no weapon with her, there was no real crime other than disturbing the peace and public disobedience. So it fell to Jim as to whether they were going to press charges at this time. Darwin was a naturalist and biologist known for his theory of evolution and the process of natural selection. Darwin's theory of evolution meant that species survived through a process called natural selection, where those that successfully adapted, or evolved, to meet the changing requirements of their habitat. • 7. A Short Story : Robert Warren Poppy, Charles Warren Tupper My grandfather, Charles Warren Tupper, who I call Poppy, was born in Arlington, Massachusetts, on September 8, 1941. He lived in a farmhouse in New Hampshire with his mom, dad, sister, and his grandmother, when he was young. He is from the end of the Silent Generation, right before the Baby Boomer generation began. Children born during the Silent Generation are from a time of economic instability, and therefore are comprised of generally hard working people. Poppy is a compassionate, loving grandfather with a good sense of humor. He, along with his wife, my mimi, enjoy telling stories with the family during meals. He believes storytelling is important because, "you are relating to others the importance of human experiences and condition." You are able to learn from other people's stories. He is very important to me, and he has a number of stories he has shared with me that I enjoy hearing time and time again, and many new ones too. Some of the stories include how he met my mimi, the Wizbang story, and panic on the Kancamagus. Stories like these, teach us about accomplishments, mistakes, and general history. One of my favorite stories he has shared with me took place in 1959, and is the story of how he met my mimi. Stroking the smooth skin, she would have purred if she had been a cat. He was a miracle balm to her. He nodded, smiling. He mouthed, "fantastic!" then he winked. • 15. On The Roof Of The World By Sir Charles G. D. Roberts 1) I believe that there are many ways that the author has chosen to set–up a man and animal as competitors in the story "On The Roof Of The World" by Sir Charles G. D. Roberts. One of the reasons that the author has set up a man and an animal as competitors is that unlike normal circumstances where mankind is on top of the food chain, higher that every other living thing known. In this short story, the man and the polar bear are on approximately the same level of the food chain. As the bear is equipped with claws, the man evens himself out with the spear he had fashioned himself. The author seems write this to portray his question of, is humankind more superior to other living species when having to live in almost the exact same conditions in which the animals live in? Another way it thinks that the author has set–up a man and an animal as competitors is to show how similar things a human would do like an animal if put in such a situation such as high winds, predators, and a constant danger of frostbite, a human would only care about three things, food, shelter and water like an animal. With the only source of food, a human would resort to savage ways so similar to the ways of a polar bear as the story states, "without an instant 's hesitation the man hurled his spear" (p. 164) and when "with a growl of rage, the bear tore it loose and charged upon the man" (p. 164). This shows that when a human is exposed to this type of environment, they would kill for food without ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Spencer thought that society was in a "competitive struggle where only those with strong character should survive, or the society will weaken" (Reich 56). He associated the term "survival of the fittest" with the social Darwinism. Survival of the fittest was a term to describe the competition between individuals. According to Spencer, people are divided as the "fit" and the "unfit". Spencer considered the wealthy and powerful people are the "fit" and the poor people the "unfit". Darwin defined evolution as "descent with modification" based on the idea that species change over time giving rise to new species that share a common ancestor. In 1837–1839, Darwin proposed the theory of biological evolution by natural selection. Because resources are limited in nature, organisms with heritable traits that favor survival and reproduction will tend to leave more offspring than their peers, causing the traits to increase in frequency over generations. She is the former wife of Prince Charles, and the mother of Princes William and Harry. Her charitable work with impoverished children has formed her reputation as a role model for the people of Britain and much of the world. Much of Diana's life has been devoted to traveling the world to help others. Her work in Africa with the children injured by landmines brought her into the global spotlight (Wexford 3). A hero, as defined in Webster's Online Dictionary, is a person who "a person admired for achievements or noble qualities" or "one who shows great courage." However, a hero is not just a person with outstanding achievements. A hero is a person who is philanthropic, generous, and kind. Heros fight for those who cannot fight for themselves, and do not judge those who they are fighting for. They are charitable in ways other than donating money, they give their time and effort in order to make the lives of others more pleasant. Heros display bravery, as they are willing to go into a dangerous situation to help others that have been aggrieved. • 29. Princess Diana Of Wales : Bulimia Princess Diana of Wales: Bulimia "I had bulimia for a number of years. And that's like a secret disease. You inflict it upon yourself because...you don't think you're worthy...you fill your stomach up...and it gives you a feeling of comfort...it's like having a pair of arms around you," Princess Diana explains about bulimia (Frey). Bulimia is a disability often misinterpreted as a form of anorexia, and people think they can identify a bulimic by their looks. Bulimia is when someone binges or overeats and then purges the food by vomiting or other methods like exercising. Some bulimics use laxatives or medications that encourage vomiting (Ambrose 18). Bulimia comes from the Greek words bous, which means "ox", and limos, which means "hunger" (54). Put that together, and it is "ox hunger" in which describes bulimic actions. Also, it is difficult for doctors to diagnose bulimia because most bulimics look normal or overweight to obese (34). Bulimia has many physical and emotional effects on its sufferers. One symptom is salivary gland swelling from vomiting. A person can have a hoarse voice (Silverthorne 22), sore throat (Ambrose 35), and have sores in the mouth from the frequent purging. They damage their teeth and gums from vomiting (Silverthorne 21). Some have bruises, sores, and calluses on their fingers from gagging themselves or scraping them against their teeth (22). Further ado, bulimics tend to binge eat (Ambrose 8), as well as go through periods without eating (32). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Best known for his bold scientific approach in explaining "transmutation" or evolution, as it is recently termed, of natural selection. Formulating his theory secretly from 1837–39, after returning aboard the HMS Beagle from a voyage around the world. Charles Darwin published his evolution theory, in his book entitled 'On the Origin of Species' two decades after his return in 1959. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Others believe in Darwin's theory of natural selection, where it all started about five millions year ago. It is said that there were once apes, different to the known species of the 20th century that advanced genetically as time progressed. Beliefs are held that these apes or Hominines evolved becoming bipedal causing them to walk up right, and their babies to be twisted and turned to pass through the birth canal. Overtime their cognitive abilities allowed them to generate new ideas to build new tools that also increased survival and reproduction. Darwin believed that humans, apes and chimpanzees all share a common ancestry. "The recent sequencing of the gorilla, chimpanzee and bonobo genomes confirms that supposition and provides a clearer view of how we are connected: chimps and bonobos in particular take pride of place as our nearest living relatives, sharing approximately 99 percent of our DNA, with gorillas trailing at 98 percent" (Wong, 2014). Fossil records today strengthen Darwin's theory as results concluded that the phylogenic of species and ontogeny of humans evolved from an organism known as the great ape or Hominid– a large tailless primitive that lived 7 million years ago. Darwin's theory of evolution contains some basic biological principles as it relates to natural selection and contributes to survival, these includes: 1. Variation– ... Darwin believed all plants and animals had changed from past families by natural selection. An example of natural selection would be the different coloration between beetles (Understanding Evolution, 2008). There are two different colored beetles, one is brown and the other is green. Since the environment cannot have an overpopulation, the green beetles will get consumed by birds and not be able to survive and reproduce as much as the brown beetles. The brown beetles have offspring because the trait has a genetic basis. When they produce more offspring, they become more common in the environment and if this process continues, the population of beetles will be mostly brown. Certain characteristics are innate within a species which help them reproduce and survive more than other species with no such inborn characteristics. These species will become more favorable and most common in the population. Darwin's theory of natural selection favors organisms that are prone to adapting well to the environment, it makes it easy to pass on their genes stabilizing the population and making it stronger. Species begin to die out according to, what Darwin calls, survival of the fittest. Darwin's "Survival of the Fittest" theory is a natural process resulting in the development of a species best adapted to the environment. This is when the species only the species that are best adapted the environment and its conditions are able to survive and reproduce. If they are not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Would you feel successful obtaining credentials in vocational training rather than a college degree? How would your parents feel with this choice? Questions like these are debated widely in our society today. In the essay, "On 'Real Education'", Robert T. Perry, the South Dakota Board of Regents director, declares "we need more, not fewer university and community college graduates" (625). He is responding to the contrasting stance on higher education that Charles Murray stated in his book, Real Education. The arrangement of the essay is clear and organized, making it simple for the reader to follow. Perry provides background information, states his claim, presents evidence, and suggests solutions. He does successfully present a thorough, convincing argument supporting why college graduates are important factors in our society's success. The appeal to reader's emotions is also a very effective technique. Gaining audience support increases the likelihood of "winning" the argument. However, the opposing viewpoint is criticized throughout the essay's entirety; it is these deceitful representations that cause the most damage to Perry's argument. Appealing to the reader's emotions is the most effective strategy used in the essay. The first sentence Perry's audience reads begins with, "Bell Curve author Charles Murray..." (625). He expects the audience to be familiar with Charles Murray and his scandalous book that caused public outrage and controversy in 1994. Relating intelligence levels to race and social class sparked a variety of feelings and opinions among people. Perry evokes the reader's emotions by including this memory. If it arouses anger, the reader is more likely to evaluate Murray's opinions critically. Presenting a negative circumstance around the opponent undermines their argument, or "poisons the well". • 39. Charles Darwin 's ' Inherit The Wind By Jerome Lawrence... Charles Darwin once wrote "I am not apt to follow blindly the lead of other men," a bold statement that epitomized his experimental and revolutionary approach in science during his lifetime. Darwin's controversial Theory of Evolution caused a paradigm shift in the centrally fundamentalist society of his time. Inherit The Wind by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee was loosely based on the historical Scopes Trial in 1925; the trial exemplified conflicting beliefs between evolution and creationism. In the play two men represent two opposing forces at large– lawyer Henry Drummond advocates for man's right to think and "right to be wrong." while politician Matthew Harrison Brady complies to the Bible's teachings or "Living Truth of the Scriptures." Comparatively, Drummond and Brady are analogous in that they are both respectable, well–known, and fairly confident men willing to fight for their causes in valiant manners. Drummond and Brady similarly hold notable positions in their society, however, essentially serve as character foils to each other, varying greatly in differences between their own set of values, intentions, and mindsets. Drummond and Brady both yield adamant positions in the case. Drummond serves to defend Bertram Cates, the underdog, while Brady volunteers as prosecutor to stand up against the "moral injustices done unto the innocent children of Hillsboro."
