SUBJECT: CASE TITLE: PTDC THROUGH ITS MD VS FEDERATION OF PAKISTAN.
Dear Sir,
In pursuance to taking over administrative control of Pakistan Tourism
Development Corporation (PTDC) properties / motels in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province
by the Tourism Department/Corporation-KP on September 2-3, 2014 the PTDC initiated
a court case in the Islamabad High Court titling “PTDC through its MD Vs Federation of
Pakistan” vide No. 3989/2014 on 11th September, 2014 (copy enclosed).
2. It is worth mentioning that in the writ petition titled PTDC through its MD
versus Federation of Pakistan pending in Islamabad High Court wherein, Chief
Secretaries of all the provinces are party in the petition and the court has not fixed any
date for the hearing till date. The Advocate General Office Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had
advised that for early fixation of the above titled writ petition on behalf of Chief
Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is required, the approval of the Chief Secretary is
required to move an application for early fixation.
3. In pursuant to the approval of the Competent Authority, it is requested that
immediate necessary action in the matter may be initiated, under intimation to this
office. Mr. Farmanullah Khattak, Advocate High Court/Legal Advisor of TCKP has been
deputed to assist your goodself with regard to provision of relevant record etc.
