It describes the IBM PC-AT released in 1984, which was faster than earlier PCs and used the Intel 80286 chip. The presentation also outlines the PC/RT and RISC-based systems released in 1986 by IBM and MIPS, as well as the PS/2 machines introduced by IBM in 1987 that included a 3.5-inch floppy disk drive. The Intel 80486 microprocessor from 1989 and the Video Toaster production/editing system from 1990 are also summarized.
