The document describes the process of creating a double page magazine spread in Photoshop. It involves opening an A4 Photoshop document and adding a gradient background, photos, and text. Next, the opposite page is created following a similar process. The pages are then copied and pasted onto an A3 landscape canvas to form the double page spread. Additional elements like pull quotes and page numbers are added to complete the design.
2. One First of all I opened a A4 Photoshop document and use the gradient tool to create my background. I then added in my chosen photos.
3. Two I next added in my text by using the textbox tool and I then added in the album cover that I created using Photoshop.
4. Three I then added in the pull quote using a larger font size to make it stand out. I then added in the speech marks by creating two separate text boxes and using a much larger font size.
5. Four I then began to create the opposite side of my double page spread by following a similar process. I continued the use of the black and white parallel lines using the gradient tool and then I added in my chosen photos.
7. Six I then open an A3 canvas and rotated it to a landscape view.
8. Seven I used this A3 canvas and using copy and paste I took the A4 documents and place them on the A3 canvas to create a double page.
9. Eight I felt that there were a few blank spaces so I added in another pull quote on the first page using the same method as described earlier in the presentation. I lastly added in the page numbers and the oversized ‘I’ to signify where the article started. I have seen this idea used in most of the magazines I have researched. I chose to use the same style numbers as I did from the contents to link the magazine together and if I had to create more of a magazine I would use the same font for all of the page numbers.
