METADATA
A game played by two teams of 11 players
each on a rectangular, 100-yard-long field
with goal lines and goal posts at either end,
the object being to gain possession of a ball
and advance it in running or passing plays
across the opponent's goal line or kick it
through the air between the opponent's goal
posts.
P O P U L A R S P O R T S
FOOTBALL
A game played between two teams of five
players each on a rectangular court, usually
indoors. Each team tries to score by tossing
the ball through the opponent’s goal, an
elevated horizontal hoop and net called a
basket.
BASKETBALL
A, game played by two teams, usually of six
players on a side, in which the players use their
hands to bat a ball back and forth over a high net, trying to make the ball touch
the court within the opponents’ playing area before it can be returned. To
prevent this a player on the opposing team bats the ball up and toward a
teammate before it touches the court surface that teammate may then volley it
back across the net or bat it to a third teammate who volleys it across the net.
A team is allowed only three touches of the ball before it must be returned over
the net
VOLLEYBALL,
A sport in which two teams play
against each other by trying to
maneuver a ball or a puck into the
opponent's goal using a hockey stick.
There are many types of hockey
such as bandy, field hockey and ice
hockey.
This game is played by two opposing
teams of 11 players each, who try to
hit a ball into their opponents' goal
using long sticks curved at the end.

HOCKEY
BASEBALL
A sport played on a field by two teams
against each other. In baseball, a player
on one team throws a small round ball
at a player on the other team, who tries
to hit it with a bat, which is like a long,
round club. Then the player who hits the
ball has to run around the field. Players
score points by running around in a full
circle around three markers on the
ground called bases, and back to where
they started, which is called home plate.
They have to do this without getting
caught by the players on the other team.

Golf is a game enjoyed all over the world by
both players and fans. It's a sport that
requires concentration and precision, and it's
enjoyed by professional athletes and
amateurs, both of whom compete throughout
the year for titles and prizes. Many people
consider golf an easy game to learn, but not
everyone is actually good at golf. The basics of
golf include hitting a ball with a club, trying
hard to hit the ball directly into the hole on
the green.
To play golf a golfer needs a set of clubs, no
more than 14, of varying lengths and sizes, a
set of golf balls, and a golf bag. There are
more accessories available, but a beginner can
start with just clubs, balls, and a bag.
A team play game pits two people or a team
of two to three people against each other.
Similar to a stroke game, the strokes used
count as your score but it's tallied as a team
rather than individually.
GOLF
TENNIS
original name lawn tennis, game in
which two opposing players (singles) or
pairs of players (doubles) use tautly
strung rackets to hit a ball of specified
size, weight, and bounce over a net on a
rectangular court. Points are awarded to
a player or team whenever the opponent
fails to correctly return the ball within
the prescribed dimensions of the court.
The sport of athletics is
defined by the many events
which make up its competition
programmes. All events within
the sport are forms of
running, walking, jumping or
throwing. These events are
divided into the sub-sports of
track and field, road running,
racewalking and cross country
running.

POPULAR SPORTS
POPULAR SPORTS
Boxing, sport, both amateur and
professional, involving attack and defense
with the fists. Boxers usually wear padded
gloves and generally observe the code set
forth in the marquess of Queensberry
rules. Matched in weight and ability, boxing
contestants try to land blows hard and
often with their fists, each attempting to
avoid the blows of the opponent. A boxer
wins a match either by outscoring the
opponent—points can be tallied in several
ways—or by rendering the opponent
incapable of continuing the match. Bouts
range from 3 to 12 rounds, each round
normally lasting three minutes.
BOXING
American football is a unique
sport -- it is a game about
gaining territory as much as it
is about scoring points. When
two teams step onto a football
field, each is battling for every
inch it can take from the other.
Each team wants to defend the
field that is behind it and
invade the field in front of it.
Ultimately, they want to gain
enough ground to score a
touchdown or field goal.

EXTREME
SPORTS
Motocross racing is one of the
most exciting sports to watch.
Riders seem to perform death-
defying turns and leaps. The effort
used to control the bike is visible
and the rider can be seen shifting
his weight about to turn and
maneuver the bike for maximum
speed. The wheels often spin and
spray up mud when a rider tries
to control the traction of the bike.
EXTREME SPORTS
MOTOCROSS
Skydiving, also called parachuting,
is a sport in which athletes jump
out of an airplane at a certain
altitude and perform acrobatic
movements in free fall. Then they
open their parachutes to slow
down and return safely to Earth.
Skydiving is considered to be an
extreme sport which takes a lot of
courage but also gives you an
adrenalin kick.
SKYDIVING OR
PARACHUTING
Surfing is the sport of riding waves in an
upright or prone position. Surfers catch
ocean, river, or man-made waves, and glide
across the surface of the water until the
wave breaks and loses its energy.
In the ocean, wave riders stand up on
surfboards and navigate the water -
nearly parallel to the beach - toward the
shore. There are four types of surfing
waves: spilling waves, plunging waves,
surging waves, and collapsing waves.
The ultimate goal of surfing is to ride and
progress on the unbroken part of the
wave using a surfboard. Nevertheless,
beginners can learn to surf in the
whitewater part of the wave

EXTREME SPORTS
Water skiing is a surface water sport in
which an individual is pulled behind a
boat or a cable ski installation over a
body of water, skimming the surface on
two skis or one ski. The sport requires
sufficient area on a smooth stretch of
water, one or two skis, a tow boat with
tow rope, three people (depending on
state boating laws), and a personal
flotation device. In addition, the skier
must have adequate upper and lower
body strength, muscular endurance, and
good balance. Skiing is a fun pastime
that allows people of all skill levels and
ages to enjoy. There is no minimum age
necessary to water ski.
WATERSKIING
Ice climbing is an extreme
sport that is practiced on
 icefalls, frozen waterfalls,
and cliffs and rock slabs
covered with ice refrozen
from flows of water. this
sport is very dangerous and it
requires of tools like a chisel
an ice climber, lamp etc.
ICE CLIMBING
Scuba diving is an activity consisting of
staying underwater in breathing, either
by using a hookah (pipe bringing air
from the surface), or most often by
equipping yourself with a (Air cylinder
carried by the diver). Specific equipment
generally consists of an isothermal suit,
a mask, fins, belt ballast or integrated
stabilizer jacket equipped with a direct
system, and a diving bottle generally
containing Of the compressed air around
200 bars. The gas is supplied to the
plunger via a regulator

SCUBA DIVING
Bungee jumping, sport in which the jumper
falls from a high place with a rubber
(“bungee”) cord attached both to his or her
feet and to the jump site, and, after a period
of headfirst free fall, is bounced partway back
when the cord rebounds from its maximum
stretch. It traces its roots to the “land diving”
practiced on Pentecost Island, Vanuatu, in
which divers jump off a high tower, their feet
connected to it by a vine whose length is
calculated to allow the jumper to fall until his
hair just brushes the ground below.
