•Focus on the your teen’s strengths
•Outsource and/or mitigate weakness
•Avoid the “Make a Mountain Out-of-a-Molehill” approach

•Determine which accommodations work best for your teen
•Keep documentation – will need for college
Coach Your Teen on How to Advocate
•Build a Team-Focused relationship with teachers
•Help your teen understand their accommodations
•Help develop life-long skills

possible questions and then answer them.
•Use Smartphones to audio record class notes. Listen to learn and fill
in class notes.
•Create stories to remember vocabulary words, formulas, and test

test preparations
