Life in Sudan was simple until conflict arose, resulting in genocide, terror, and death for 2 million people by 2005. Over 5 million Sudanese were internally displaced persons, struggling with starvation and finding death around every corner. The aftermath included relief efforts and publicity about the ongoing conflict occurring in Sudan. However, the author argues that the war has been mischaracterized as tribal disputes rather than an intent by the government to eliminate black Africans.
19. “The world has been deceived that the war in Sudan is nothing more than tribal disputes.
Two million people have died in Sudan not because of tribal wars but because of the
government’s intent to eliminate black Africans.”Pg.61
