2. An Inter-house drama competition was organized on September 20th
2017, which saw students exhibiting
their acting and script writing skills. The theme was E plori g hu a e otio s a d ho it affects our
relatio ships . The students of each House had to write the script, the dialogues, select music, make props
and enact it. The script writing of the play was done by students of grades 6-12, while the students from
grades 1-5 gave the dramatic presentation. Yellow house stood first as the students presented a play on
the relationship between a father and an unwanted girl child. Green house stood second, students
enacted a play on Gautam Buddha and his disciples while Blue house stood third - their play was based on
a Japanese farmer sacrificing his rice fields to save the people of his village.
The students performing the drama were assessed on the basis of originality of the script, usage of props,

3. Ardeeians visit New Gallery of Modern Arts
Art is a matter of perspective; everyone has their own interpretation of a painting, sculpture, mural or
installation. To understand the nuances of a master artist's works, Ardeeians visited the National Gallery
of Modern Art to meet Manu Parekh. Shri Parekh has been working for over 50 years now. His paintings
are most sought after by connoisseurs of art. His recent productions have been based on the ancient
city of Benares. The colours, smells and ethos of the city come alive in his paintings. The revered stone,
the holy ghats, the mesmerizing landscape all blend together in one magical piece.
The students were spellbound by all that was exhibited and asked numerous questions and tips from the
artist. Shri Parekh led the curated walk explaining his works and also gifted an autographed coffee table
book to the school.
‘Today a reader, to orrow a leader - To help discover the
joys of reading, a Book Fair was organized last week where
not one but two publishers, Scholastic and TERI stocked
books for students, teachers and parents. While we
believe that reading is the best form of self-education,
there are no limits or boundaries to what a student can
learn. The book fair offered an opportunity for Ardeeians
to acquire their favorite titles and take their preferred
author home. All students were guided on their choice of
books.
Parents who had come to pick up their wards during
dispersal and on the Parent Teacher Conference day
browsed through the books on display.
