2. Match On Action
Our film contained two scenes using
match on action. The first two shots are of
Joel picking up the box for the first time.
These two shots are put together to create
seamless match on action and were taken
one after another for continuity.
The second match on action was used
when Joel throws the box out the window.
The first shot cuts to the second just after
the box is released from Joel’s hand,
resulting as a well timed match on action.
3. Shot Reverse Shot
This is our shot reverse shot between the two characters during their
conversation. The continuity in these shots is good. However, the
cuts and sound were a bit jumpy between shots and the characters
didn’t keep eye contact for the effect of an eye-line match.
4. 180 Degree Rule
This is our 180 degree rule is used during the
conversation between the two characters.
During the shot reverse shot the 180 degree
rule is kept and is successful.
